Always remember, “Dallas” had numbers like this the first year. Gee, what ever happened to that show?

Like I said, they’re putting an awful lot of thought into episode titles for a show which seems to have had no thought put into the title of it itself. Or much of anything else.

Speaking of trauma related shows, how fitting that NBC is taking “Trauma” off after 10 episodes, to return “whenever.” 10 episodes was exactly as many as ABC ran of the Glen Larsen turkey “Trauma Center” — “Trauma’s” apparent inspiration — 26 years ago… before putting it on hiatus right before the holidays. ABC promised to bring that back too but, guess what, they never did. Granted, they weren’t stupid enough to waste money on additional episodes, so only 3 from the original order went in the trash.

…two wild and crazy demo analysts traveling the world, wrestling (figuratively and literally) the evils of television executives and snarky hateboyz…

…with Dr. Zworkyn and Dr. Laird (played by Robert Seidman and Julia, respectively) as the staff of the DuMont Institute, and Bill Gorman as the Hollywood CIA station chief…

1-I don’t like that person.

2-that person enjoys laughing at bad TV.

Heroes needs to be renewed. season four aint that bad and it’s only because of the timeslot it’s ratings are below a 2.8ish and it sucks that critics aren’t commenting how good redemption is.

Probably came down to extending the Heroes season or the Trauma season by a few episodes and they decided to go with Trauma so that Heroes would be done before the Olympics. Maybe they held off to see how the two compared and, well, Heroes is doing a whole lot better than Trauma.

Mercy’s back 9 is probably the worst sign that Parenthood got, I’m guessing Parenthood will get a ~6-episode spring season or something.

and another example is the episode “masquerade” is about one of the show character secret sexuality. “masquerade” is a methaphor for the hidden secret

Speaking of “Trauma,” why do the episodes seem to change title every 5 minutes? I got a press release for next week’s Thanksgiving episode, when it was called “Thank You.” Now I get a new one telling me it’s now called “Going Home.” We won’t even get into the episode after that, which I think is on its 137th title now. (As of right now it’s called “Blue Balloon,” but I’m sure they’re changing that to something else as I type.) Note to Dario: if you put as much thought into plots and character development as you put into episode titles, perhaps you might have had a watchable show.

So, is it just possible that this Trauma order has more to do with having some extra hours just in case they cut Jay back to fewer than five nights a week this season?

Probably not, but I wouldn’t put anything past NBC. Including, but not limited to, giving JBF his own show where he can spend an hour doing his sophisticated comedic stylings to an audience of dozens.

Obviously that would be a come down from the # of people who see his posts here, but it would pay somewhat better.

Dancing with the Stars will never end or go away. It’s the herpes of network television.

But where will they put it? Chuck is going up on Mondays now, and they’re not going to move Heroes.

Therefore I predict they’ll move Trauma to Fridays.

What growth? There isn’t any metric where Trauma has grown, particularly not “week in and week out.”
