Obama-Oprah

While I was snoozing, ABC sent out a press release about Christmas at the Whitehouse: An Oprah Primetime Special on December 13.   By the time I woke up, I didn't even bother looking at any of the early AM releases.  Bill had the morning duties today, but in a hurry to head over The River and through the woods didn't post the release opting instead to post stats that Bill and I seem to be the only ones who care about.

While Thanksgiving is traditionally a very slow time, I'm pretty sure James Hibberd is having his highest traffic day of the month, if not in the history of The Live Feed.  He and Nellie Andreeva did a write-up on it and Drudge made it his top story (with the headline "Merry O-Mas: ABC Announces Oprah Obama Christmas Special") linking  to it.   Oprah + Obama + Drudge Top Story  = A very Happy Thanksgiving for the Live Feed!   The post had about 300 comments in the first hour.  And if you're the type of person who is inclined to comment on Oprah+Obama, please don't comment here, comment there!

  1. It’s funny when Drudge links to something, you always see conservatives bashing liberals in overwhelming numbers.

  2. Adam

The inevitable comparisons to Oprah’s Palin interview should be interesting.

  3. Packy

Thanks for the heads up! Now I know to tune in to a different channel that evening ;)

  4. anonymous

    yawwwwwn!!!!

  5. Taz

Sad this idiot spends more time partying and traveling than doing his actual job…will not be viewed

  6. AppleStinx

    Go where the party is!
The ‘comment there’ URL has an extraneous ‘http//’.

  7. Damn, and I didn’t even start on the egg nog early. Fixed!

  8. DenverDean

So he found another way to squeeze an hour of Prime Time…. If it weren’t so sad, it would be laughable (almost as funny as O carrying the issue featuring him on the cover)!

  9. Chad

I had read somewhere else this was a Kwanzaa celebration.

  10. How can this president keep partying and traveling when this country is in such a bad shape? Friend of mine bought a house for 127,000, it was foreclosed and sold at auction for 26,000. This what our young people are experencing while this man is on a real vacation.

  11. mark-allen

i am sick of seeing both of them on tv…

  12. sold at auction for 26,000. This what our young people are experencing

    good deals?

  13. Stress does not facilitate thinkin for solutions, a little partying will destress Mr. President to profer lasing solutions to situations at hand in the USA. Oprah…. you have an admirer and a favourite back in Nigeria , Africa.

  14. daniel patrick

just in time for me to not watch it on my birthday

  15. paul

Oooh! I hope he announces that he’s quitting his job and moving to Montecito as well! Oh, except that would leave us with Biden. Never mind.

  16. Tom

All politics aside President Obama is just on TV way too much. I mean, he’ll be doing this 10 days after ANOTHER prime time press conference.
At this point he’s just diluting his impact further and further.

With some polls showing he’s fallen below 50% popularity and that a big reason for that is because people feel he’s all talk I just don’t see why his media team doesn’t sit him down and say “Mr President, you’ve been on TV way too much”.

To the Obama Team: Please look overexposure up in the dictionary (and don’t be surprised if you find your bosses picture accompanying the caption)

  17. todd schotta

I’d rather watch Sarah Palin for the umpteen time.

  18. DeniseVB

They’ll be up against the Eagles and Giants. Good luck with that Oprah!

  19. ABCFanatic

    ABC rocks!

  20. William Hughes

I’ll be watching HOME ALONE on LSN. :D
