Fox Clinches First November Sweeps Win In Network History!
Posted on 01 December 2009 by Bill Gorman

via press release:

For the first time in the network’s history, FOX has won the November broadcast television sweep.

---

While this is the first time FOX has "won" the November Sweep, it is not the first time they have come in first place. In the November 1998 Sweep, FOX and NBC finished in a first place tie with identical 5.9 A18-49 ratings.

If they work their schedule just right with the return of AI and 24 they could be the number 1 viewer and 18-49 network.

Yeah, this is what I thought was going on when they pulled Dollhouse (I think I might have even posted the theory here). Friday's never been worth much so the only reason to make that move is if you, for some reason, need every possible ratings point. Clearly Fox saw this in their grasp and went for it.

I'm actually really happy for them. They've taken a lot of chances this year (bringing back Dollhouse, greenlighting Glee, etc...). They deserve this.
