The eighth season premiere of Intervention was watched by 2.5 million viewers, including 1.6 million people 18-49 and 1.5 million 25-54. That is up 39%, 25% and 23% from the previous season's average, respectively.

Soo good yet so disturbing
Watching Intervention was like watching the Jerry Springer Show, except I needed to attend anger management classes after Intervention. The
manipulative mother – no surprise there – blames the father for not being there emotionally for the drug-addicted son; the father always having to work late to give them home, food, nice things. The sister and manipulative mother often give the druggie money to buy food!!!
The manipulative mother makes a big scene and screams at the father when he brings up the subject of drug addiction with the druggie at a family gathering. So the manipulative mother has trouble sleeping, goes on sleeping pills and ends up needing intervention herself. Ads for Hoarders were enough to make me sick.
I was going to set up the DVR to record this but all my DVR showed for A&E was a movie True Lies that ran in that time slot for 3 hours. Anybody know where you can catch it again?
I watched “Hoarders” for the first time this week. They had this absolutely insane lady who was apparently what you would call a “food hoarder.” She just bought a ton of perishable food, left it sitting around until it got moldy and covered with flies — and refused to throw any of it away. Her fridge was lined with what appeared to be raw sewage. The hoarder helpers were gagging from the stench of her house. And when her son tried to throw out any of her inedible, well-past-the-expiration-date food, she threw a temper tantrum and wouldn’t let them, because throwing it out is “wasteful.” Where do they find these people? Here’s a thought, you old bag. Try EATING the food after you buy it, then maybe it won’t go to waste.
Truly trainwreck television at its finest.
