Fox edged the closely packed competition for the adults 18-49 ratings win in week 10 of the broadcast primetime ratings season. This was by far the most competitive top to bottom week for the all important adults 18-49 ratings, with just 0.23 ratings point separating #1 from #4.
CBS continued to win the adults 25-54 ratings as well as average viewership, while Fox continued its wins for adults 18-34.
Note that the chart includes RATINGS not VIEWERSHIP as was typical in our weekly network ratings posts prior to July, 2009.
You can see past week's broadcast network primetime weekly TV ratings results here.
Each rating point is a percentage of the US TV population in that demographic group and equals: 2.90 million viewers, 1.32 million adults 18-49, 0.68 million adults 18-34 and 1.24 million adults 25-54.
Sadly, we will no longer be having a Tiny Network Showdown! since MyNetworkTV ratings averages are not being reported by Nielsen, since they are no longer classed as a network but are now a "programming service".

Interesting. A question: I think there is a perception among bloggers and academics that ABC is “on top” right now — in the way that NBC was “on top” in the mid-90s to early 2000s. Might this graph suggest that a) no one is really dominating right now, and b) if anyone is, it’s Fox (18-49), or to a lesser extent CBS (total)? Though perhaps this picture becomes more complicated when you factor in type of show, audience gender and the relative sizes of the networks.
AJ, which bloggers have the perception that ABC is on top, the ones with blindfolds on? This post is just a weeks worth of ratings, but for the season as a whole ABC is third behind Fox and CBS in adults 18-49 which is the most important demo for advertising.
Maybe they’re just reading the press releases! Fox has been doing quite well for itself; it’s certainly the only network my 19-year old brother would even consider watching!
