Update: Confirmed - V Returns March 30 and will air at 10pm after Lost.
Wow, my DVR's flash forward was even more prescient than I thought! East coast viewers report that a promo ran during the show that said FlashForward wouldn't be back until March.
TVMoeJoe has more details (though not many more, pretty much just the predictable "let's get this maimed show out of the way of the Olympic onslaught," even if that doesn't explain why it wouldn't air in January!).
This, and OK, the date, convinces me we will not have to wait very much longer at all for the full announcement of ABC's mid-season schedule.

Any ideas what show will be aired on Thursdays, 8pm? Will ABC launch a new show there?
I hope the show gets its mojo back when it returns. I’m loving it but I agree the characters are not compelling but the twists are good.
Can’t exactly blame them for moving the show. Its ratings were only going to go south even faster during the Olympics, but I wonder how much the hiatus will affect the ratings in March.
this long of a hiatus is probably not good news for a show that has slipped every episode since the premiere.
ABC Tuesday
8 PM Flash Forward
9 PM LOST
10 PM V
the writing sucked! I watched tonights episode and after a guy says he is responsible for 20,000,000 deaths due to his experiment, the FBI literally does nothing???? huh? Good riddence
melbye, that will inflict on the Monday/Tuesday Dancing with the Stars combo.
I swore I saw March 2 at the end of tonight’s trailer. I must be going senile prematurely!
Why is it going on hiatus? Is it because of Production shutdown? ABC still has 15 more episode to air.
ABC went from not having enough timeslots available to having way too many available. I really wanna see ABC midseason schedule already! It starts next month. Whats taking soo long???
Maybe Happy Town/Deep End will run?
There is still 15 more episodes left. The season is now going to end up finishing in early June.
what is up with all these shows taking a long hiatus i remember shows in the past taking a hiatus of a month or so but not like this you have shows that are going on 3 to 4 month hiatus and a show like flashforward which the ratings where already going down and now it wont be on till march wtf when they come back on air there ratings will be even less and just when the show was getting back to being good after this last episode the episodes before the one that just aired were awful and i dont really know how i survived
I guess noone learned their lessons from Jericho in Fall 2006 when it finished episode 11 with the ratings at an all-time high (I recall around 11M viewers) and then took a 3 month break and came back with the ratings sliced in half and it was never able to recover from it.
melbye,
That sounds like an ideal night to me. That would work as the perfect counter programming to “American Idol”.
I don’t know what date it said it would be back but I know it did at least say March. I don’t really care too much now because for me FlashForward was a let down. There are only about 4 characters who I care about, which is not enough from a cast as large as this one.
The promo for the new shows in March did seem to have a lot of action going on so maybe it will be a little better on return. If not then goodbye FF.
The cast is too big and their stories just aren’t that interesting. I’ve never read the book the series is based on but from what I have heard of it the tv version is not much the same. Maybe they should have tried the book format ???
Hmm. intersting. maybe they are trying to let peple catch up. then during this time they might try to figure out the problem they have been having with ratings. this might noit be such a bad idea. But I don’t know as much as I’d like to about the tv industry.
I’m willing to bet ABC cuts the number of Episodes they ordered. This tells me that ABC knows the shows writing is going nowhere and the show needs a major retooling.
Side note:
http://twitter.com/HitFixDaniel tweets:
“V” returns to ABC on March 30. That’s a Tuesday. At 10 p.m. Tell your alien friends
forg,
That’s interesting news, even if most people figured that would happen.
Hmm. intersting. maybe they are trying to let peple catch up.
Ummm…no. If they thought that was the problem, they’d start airing reruns every Saturday or at least start offering the whole series online instead of just the last 5 episodes or have the producers put together a “catch-up” clips show, they wouldn’t take it completely off the air for 3 months.
It’s probably mostly because they know it won’t hold up during the Olympics and want to try a relaunch into a repeat-free second half of the season.
^ It’s a bit late though, I though V will air early March.
Anyway, just read http:twitter.com/Zap2itRick
“FlashForward” won’t be back till March 4…
