Eastwick did better than The Forgotten by .1 but Eastwick had a worst lead in than The Forgotten yet ABC cancels Eastwick.

  2. Tommy

don’t worry rob, the cancellation gun is pointed at the forgotten too.

I believe The Middle did fine as it was surrounded by repeats, ABC should nurture that show.

Anyway, I wished ABC just aired the new episodes of MF and CT this week than last week

I have a question. Comments are closed under the “sydnicated ratings” post so I have no clue where to post this…

Is it surprising that Judge Judy does that well on the list? Has she always appeared toward the top like that or is this something new? I know the show has been on for over a decade but I never thought it did that well.

  5. Dan, we began the site in September, 2007 and Judge Judy has been doing quite well ever since then. I don’t track syndicated ratings very carefully, but I believe she has recently improved her relative position as well.

As for comments being closed, our site automatically closes comments on older posts for a number of reasons, one is that spam bots tend to target older posts for spam commenting.

  6. Bill, the post he is referencing is 3 hours old…but it was likely duplicated from a post that was duplicated from a post that was 14+ days old ;-)

Wow, Glee kept its 6 in young women. I asked last week about it vs. other shows, and iirc this would put it only under a typical Grey’s episode & possibly a typical Desperate ep, and above House.

  8. Shem

Its so weird that some SVU episodes repeat better than original airings..

  9. JR

Rudolph should be on at least once a month- or, CBS could air its other Rudolph specials, to guarantee a decent performance. :)

I have only been watching abc this season because it has such fantastic shows as Eastwick and The Forgotten! I have been watching Grey and Private Practice since the beginning. I cannot believe they are cancelling Eastwick and just when it is really developing the plot. I am really disappointed in the decision makers on this one. Why don’t they try moving it to another time slot or another night? I would follow to where ever they moved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. Sharon Johnson

The Forgotten was interesting, but the show I really enjoyed was Eastwick. The cast was great, the writing was fantastic and you never knew what to expect next! So they are canceling it? I agree with Debbie, why can’t they move it to a different time slot or night?

It also would have helped if they would have promoted Eastwick more than just every two weeks! A lot of people at the Peoples Choice Awards blog hadn’t even heard of the show until I created a poll for it. How do shows like the hills, gossip girl, 90210 and melrose place survive? It’s as if TV is geared towards teenagers today!

If abc takes Eastwick off I will never watch that channel again. We are living in an age of DVRs where you can record two shows and watch another. Unless the dimwits at nielen only count shows that are being watched live. If they are, they may want to catch up with the 21rst century!
