V 2009

This info was all posted last night, but here is the official announcement from ABC:

“FLASHFORWARD” AND “V” TO RETURN WITH ALL-ORIGINAL EPISODES IN MARCH 2010

“FlashForward” Returns Thursday, March 4, and “V” on Tuesday, March 30

“FlashForward” and “V” will return to the ABC schedule in March 2010, allowing for both shows to air uninterrupted through the end of the season. After last night’s episode, “FlashForward” will return on Thursday, March 4, 2010 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET), and “V” on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET), moving to its new timeslot following “Lost.”

From 8:00-9:00 p.m. on Thursday, ABC freshman “FlashForward” is a dominant No. 1 in the hour with Adults 18-34 and also among hard-to-reach Men 18-34. “FlashForward” stands as TV’s No. 1 new drama this season among Adults 18-34 (tied with ABC’s “V”). Additionally, “FlashForward” is drastically improving its time period year to year for ABC, growing the hour by 1.7 million viewers (11.1 million vs. 9.4 million) and by 23% in Adults 18-49 over the same point last season.

“FlashForward” stars Joseph Fiennes as Mark Benford, John Cho as Demetri Noh, Jack Davenport as Lloyd Simcoe, Zachary Knighton as Bryce Varley, Peyton List as Nicole Kirby, Dominic Monaghan as Simon, Brían F. O’Byrne as Aaron Stark, Courtney B. Vance as Stanford Wedeck, Sonya Walger as Olivia Benford and Christine Woods as Janis Hawk.

David S. Goyer, Brannon Braga and Jessika Borsiczky are executive producers. “FlashForward” is from ABC Studios.

Television’s number one new drama this season in the key Adult 18-49 sales demographic, “V” delivered substantial year-to-year improvement in Tuesday’s highly-competitive 8:00 p.m. hour, boosting ABC by 48% in the time period during its November Sweep run (4.3/11 vs. 2.9/7). Opposite established competition, including CBS’ time-slot veteran “NCIS” and NBC’s “Biggest Loser,” “V” finished No. 1 in its hour among Adults 18-34 and key Men (M18-34/M18-49).

“V” stars Elizabeth Mitchell as Erica Evans, Morris Chestnut as Ryan Nichols, Joel Gretsch as Father Jack, Lourdes Benedicto as Valerie, Logan Huffman as Tyler Evans, Laura Vandervoort as Lisa, with Morena Baccarin as Anna and Scott Wolf as Chad Decker.

“V” is produced by The Scott Peters Company and HDFilms in association with Warner Bros Television. Scott Rosenbaum, Scott Peters, Steve Pearlman, and Jace Hall are executive producers.

  1. Smallville

That sucks! I have to wait 4 months before they come back why cant the olympics be at like a time where no shows are like on like sunday at 4-8. I like both of those shows and now i wont have anything to watch but NCIS:LA on tuesdays and VP/Supernatural on Thursdays.

  2. sebastian

FF sucks! V damn is ok but thats a long wait. if u feel like 4 months are a lot then u friend havent felt the excrusiating pain that is to wacth a lost season finale and wait 8 months, well thanks to wacthing lost on dvd never waited that long, but imagined those that did. and we know lost deliverd the most amazing season finales now thats excrusiating. waiting for a bad show to return. who cares. its bad its gonna return prob worst.

  3. The Punisher

FF does not suck! Go watch Gossip Girl or melrose place and stfu!

  4. Cody

I like FF I hope they end it well.

  5. rob

If Flash Forward were to get renewed, it would definitely not stay in that Thursday at 8 timeslot. I could see it moving to Losts Tuesday at 9 timeslot in September and ABC launching another new hyped up show Thursday at 8.

  6. Mark

Im just glad when V comes back it wont be up against American Idol!!

  7. Like

Does like Smallville like like FlashForward and like V or like what?

  8. FringeFan

Too late for FlashForward and V, atleast V gets the post LOST timeslot. On paper keeping FlashForward away from the Olympics is a good thing but it’s clear ABC is not happy and look for FF to get the Friday slot when it comes back. A 2.2 for a new show is terrible

  9. Johnny

FF has steadily declined in the demo since a promising premiere. Community tied FF last night. Community? Are you kidding me! The hiatus will only hurt FF.

  10. Rob Trosino

FF was going to be my must see of the season…now’s its not even as watchable as Accidently On Purpose and that is saying a lot.

  11. Lizardman

That’s some really good spin from ABC. Their PR department is working overtime. I especially liked the line about “FlashForward is a dominant No. 1 in the hour with Adults 18-34 and also among hard-to-reach Men 18-34.” Yeah, maybe for the first couple of weeks it was on. Last night it tied with Community during its first half hour and was dominated by the other shows except for The Vampire Diaries rerun.

Thanks for the laughs guys. I always enjoy the spin doctors reports.

I am sick of all the FF bashing. If you don’t like the show good for you. You don’t have to come and insult it every time there is a article about it.

I bet most of the bashers watch crappy romance shows that they show on the CW which shouldn’t even be around because of its horrid ratings… that’s right I went there.

  13. SMB

Actually Ryan, I stopped watching and I’ve never watched a CW show. I’m sure I’m not alone either. There’s a reason its rating have plummeted.

Lizardman, you hit the nail on the head.

  14. Jeremy

I took a 5-episode break from FlashForward because I was unsure about it, but now that I’ve caught up to the present, the show is a lot better than some are making it out to be. Sure, the first 5 episodes weren’t that great, but it’s really picked up since. Sure, the characters aren’t the best, but the plot is keeping me solidly interested at this point.

However, this hiatus sucks pretty badly. The only reason the show is dropping in ratings is due to its serialized nature. If you miss an episode, you’re lost. Therefore if people jump ship, new ones aren’t going to replace them. And I honestly don’t know what ABC is going to do with the show to make it better, or to attract more viewers.

And gosh darn it, they left the episode on one heckuva cliffhanger that we have to hold for 4 months. That’s ridiculous.

  15. Jeremy

I as well am also sick of the bashing. Especially since it doesn’t deserve it with what its competing with. You’re going to root for Survivor over this? Have TV viewers stooped so low? We should be rooting for FlashForward and Bones and Community/Parks & Recreation to unseat the reality champion that helped start this ungodly trend of reality crap.

Sure, FlashForward could be better, but it certainly doesn’t deserve haters.

  16. Dingo

Of course, I’m going to root for Survivor. I’ve watched it since Richard Hatch. If watching it is ungodly, I’ll stay with the heathens. Too bad FlashForward doesn’t have a character as interesting as Russell.

  17. ABCHasProblems

Who are the idiot executives that decided to bring back FF on Thursday night? FF should move to Fridays @ 9pm since it won’t stop declining, managed to tie Community in the demo, and because V got the post-LOST slot. FF will go below a 2 in the demo in March. V’s ratings could be in danger since it shares a similar audience with LOST, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see it maintain high-2s/low-3s in March.

  18. ABCHasProblems

Travis Yanan just posted the finals and FF was BEATEN by Community in the demo (2.1/6 vs. 2.2/6). P&R tied FF in the demo. ABC really needs to reconsider their decision of keeping FF on Thursday nights.

  19. JR

What will be airing in FF’s time slot on Thursdays until 3/4?

Good that “V” will be away from ‘”NCIS” and “American Idol.” Hopefully the show can ull at least 8m+ viewers at 10 p.m.

  20. Devorak

Unless “V” returns with a crew of MUCH better writers, it’s gonna die the traditional summer death.
