Spanish-Language Cable Network Delivers Highest FLM Telecast in Its History

MLS Final on Galavisión Doubles ESPN’s Hispanic Audience During Broadcast of the Same Event Among Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49; Nearly Triples Among Men 18-49


MIAMI, FL, DECEMBER 7, 2009 – Galavisión, the leading Spanish-language cable network in the United States, is the sports destination on cable TV for Hispanics as evidenced by the impressive audience levels garnered by the cable network during the recent Fútbol Liga Mexicana’s (FLM) Santos vs. Morelia match (Sunday, 11/22, 6-8pm ET) and the highly anticipated Major League Soccer (MLS) Final (Sunday, 11/22, 8:30pm ET). Delivering the highest audience for a FLM game in the network’s history, the Santos vs. Morelia match averaged 612,000 Hispanic Adult 18-49 viewers and 478,000 Hispanic Men 18-49. The MLS final (L.A. Galaxy vs. Real Salt Lake City) also delivered unprecedented audience levels for the network, more than doubling the Hispanic Total Viewers 2+ and Adult 18-49 audience, and nearly tripling the Hispanic Men 18-49 audience garnered by ESPN for the broadcast of the same match.
