Monday Night Football was as expected the top program for the week as the Patriots-Saints game was the second most-watched cable telecast of all-time averaging 21.4 million viewers.
The series finale of Monk finale averaged 9.44 million on Friday night and was the most-watched one hour drama in cable history. Next up was a 60 minute iCarly special, "iQuit iCarly," that averaged a whopping 8.85 million - a new series high in viewers. Full top 25 after some disclaimer-ish blah blah blah....
Sadly, I've made the decision to no longer field requests. We always post whatever data we see via press release or other trade publications already. You can subscribe to our RSS feed and you can also follow @TravisYanan on Twitter. During the week he usually posts some (not all) cable results for each weekday, usually late in the afternoon on the east coast (and Friday night data isn't posted until Monday) and he posts the links to that info on his Twitter account to the info on Marc Berman's PI Forums. You should also follow @TVBill (it's not Bill Gorman, but he is a TV ratings junkie and sometimes posts cable ratings info. You can also follow me on Twitter, sometimes I will post some cable ratings, though I am not taking requests there either...

Broadcasters this is inexcusable. Cable is pulling out all the stops during Friday and Saturdays. Not one but two programs pulled out 5+ million viewers on Saturday and a movie got 4.2 million viewers.
I don’t want to hear one more excuse from the broadcasters why they can’t program Fridays and Saturdays right.
I’m impressed with not only iCarly’s intial ratings but the repeat ratings, this show is a monster in terms of repeats and new episodes, it’s like NCIS and Spongebob.
Would be interesting what Alice got on Syfy, I’m guessing it’s under 4m.
The Hallmark movie (Mrs Miracle starring Doris Roberts and James Van Der Beek) in 24th place is now the most watched original movie on Hallmark Channel this year.
Lifetime aired its Christmas themed new movie last Saturday too (12 Men of Christmas with Kristin Chenoweth). So in the battle of Christmas movies Hallmark won in terms of total viewers.
Without knowing the Lifetime movie score, I wouldn’t be surprised if they won in the women 18-49 demo (unless Hallmark managed not to skew too old this time).
Wow, Disney Channel’s original series all ran new episodes last week and they got shut out of the Top 25, while the “iCarly” special leads to six repeats of it and other episodes on the charts.
Looks like I won’t be seeing how “Phineas and Ferb” did this week… >_>
iCarly scares me.
And since I can’t be bothered to look it up right now I’ll ask, is it the norm for this many cable shows to break the 5 million mark?
iCarly is a bigger monster than any of the current comedies on in syndication right now outside of Men. Those repeat numbers are scary!
I don’t think there’s been this many cable shows over 5 million since the Presidential election.
iCarly is DOING IT BIG!
WOW!
Have I not been paying attention or has iCarly surged recently?
America, you never cease to amaze me. With the exception of a single show (Monk) this entire list is total crapola. For shame.
iCarly is the best family sitcom on all of TV. Cable has taken over the family sitcom and especially Nick. The ratings speak for themselves, if you combine the movie ratings for Sat. and Sun. they crushed with 17.6 million viewers. Any network would be happy to have iCarly’s weekend ratings! Gibby and Spencer are the best thing about the show…they were classic together!
Holly, the one hour special iCarly hit a series high in viewers, so you probably have been paying pretty good attention!
@Andrea2 – Lifetime’s 12 MEN OF CHRISTMAS lagged behind the Hallmark movie with 2.796 million viewers. In W18-49, Lifetime’s 1.1/3 was only slightly ahead of Hallmark’s 1.0/3. Closer than I would’ve thought. Haven’t seen the other demos yet (i.e. W18-34 and W25-54)…
What was wizards of waverly place numbers …. is it doing good this season ?
Oh and bad girls club …. how did the new season start ?
@tvbill
Many thanks. A bit disappointing showing for the Lifetime movie IMO.
Hallmark press release says Mrs Miracle was “number-one for the time period” among W25-54 with 1.8 rating and 873,000 viewers. So it should have outdelivered 12Men in that category too as the 2 movies aired at the same time.
“iCarly is the best family sitcom on all of TV.”
I agree with this. It is hard to find stuff that I can watch with my kids– unless I want to watch cartoons heavily featuring flatulence.
I have to agree iCarly is the best family sitcom on all of TV. Everyone I know watches iCarly and watches it, doesn’t matter the age neither b/c most of them are grown folks.
How did Jesse Venturas Conspiracy Theory show do? They say it was TruTV’s highest rated program of all time, what are the numbers on it? also Why isn’t Smallville on this list?
i was outraged this is the best tv shows the the world has to offer? Um, iCarly is stupid weird and i dont like it *not happy*
