Struggling sophomore Warner Bros. talker The Bonnie Hunt Show, which was sold to the NBC stations stations in a two-year window, will wrap up production at the end of this season.

Season to-date (through Nov. 22), Bonnie ranks 12th out of 13 syndicated talk shows in households, with a 0.8 rating (and no change from the comparable year-ago period), according to Nielsen Media Research data.

The ranking among key women 25-54 is also 12th, with a 0.3 in the demo.

Hopefully Bonnie’s cancellation makes room for As the World Turns.

That’s a shame. Bonnie is a cutie pie.

Very sad, but not totally surprising – here in Toronto, sometimes she was getting literally a zero rating (and this was at 3pm, no less)

I’m a big fan of Bonnie Hunt but her show was pretty lame.
Maybe she should have had more REAL guests on..and fewer school kids or her mother endlessly appearing(Yawn!).

Im gusssing don will not be getting the blu ray complete series boxset.

i’ve always like Bonnie Hunt and I can’t think of a single talk-show that I’d rather watch. Of course I don’t watch daytime TV, but on the rare occasion I do…

didn’t even know bonnie hunt had a talk show.

don: were you not hugged enough as a child?

This is very disappointing- one of my favorites – TIVO’d it every day.
Bonnie is so real, and her show is so unique.
Her humor and charm will be truly missed!!

I also recorded The Bonnie Hunt show everyday. I wonder if the “ratings numbers” include those who TIVO or record.

Bonnie Hunt is genuine you are making a big mistake by taking her off the air. Her talk show is clean and fun. She is genuine.

Don’t cancel the Bonnie Hunt show give her another chance and the ratings will go UP

Aww, I love Bonnie. Her show is on here at about 3 AM. I always dvr it. She is hilarious, and she is real. She isn’t a phony. Too bad. Maybe if she had scumbags and their baby momma d’jours smashing chairs over each others heads, she’d be doing better. Well, indeed there are worse fates than cancellation.

“Bonnie ranks 12th out of 13 syndicated talk shows in households…”

    What is #13?

I like Bonnie Hunt, but this show just didn’t do it for me. Much success on her next project!

In my area Bonnie actually comes on after As the World Turns and I caught her show a few times and really I liked it. She seems like that friendly neighbor or customer that you love to have a chit chat with.

The problem with Bonnie Hunt is that the talk shows during daytime are over-saturated, meaning too many of them on right now. The only ones that matter for casual viewers are Oprah, The View, Regis & Kelly, and Ellen. Outside of them no new talk shows should be produced in the future unless its going to air on cable. The reason why I said that is b/c there’s not enough guests to go around to help a show’s rating out.

There’s some space open now in daytime and even more with NBC in a couple of years. Wink, Wink, return of ATWT!

  18. Danny

Never cared for Bonnie’s Hunts sitcom nor do I like her talk show so not a loss on my end. In fairness to her though, I have to say that all talk shows these days (both primetime and daytime) are extremely lame.

  19. Holly Reilly

Yes, sometimes there were bits that were lame. But, The Bonnie Hunt Show made you laugh and was mostly entertaining. What this really means is that most people who watch daytime TV lack taste. They want to see drama and sexually titillating situations or topics. It’s sad, but true.

  20. Lisa

This is awful news! This show has warmth, humour, family, and style. Its the only daytime show I try to watch. They have to give it another chance!
