Wednesday broadcast finals via @TravisYanan, Travis notes in his Twitter feed that against new broadcast competition Glee hit a season high 3.7 adults 18-49 rating but was down a bit in viewers, 18-34 and W18-34 versus last week when it aired against reruns (and a Grammy nomination special on CBS) on the broadcast networks.

So glad For Glee! It’s such a great series.
Glee, best new series this season. No show comes even close.
I expect a couple of golden globe nominations. One for Jane Lynch in particular!!!
The Middle is building since it has had stronger lead-ins (post Hank), but Cougar Town seems to be squandering its lead-in. What a drop after Modern Family.
Cougar Town is a sweeter and funnier show than its title infers. I was skeptical. Perhaps the Lisa Kudrow casting will attract and keep viewers.
Glee gets its series premier on Tuesday in the UK next week. The adverts that the channel have put out for it are really unappealing though! It’s putting me straight off of it.
Thought you might like to hear how some of this seasons shows from the US are doing in the UK:
Modern Family: averaging 440,000 viewers (airing on digital channel owned by Fox)
Flashforward: last episode 2 million (declining ratings but still good for the channel its on)
NCIS: Los Angeles: about 300,000 (same channel as Modern Family; not good ratings at all)
DWTS: 100,000 (we don’t know who any of your celebs are!)
Unfortunatley for you Castle fans, no one has picked it up in Britain yet, but fingers crossed!
Just so you know, in the United Kingdom we don’t measure 18-49 ratings, just the viewers!
Not too many people in the US know who the DWTS people are since the first season or two.
I think that they should try The Middle after Modern Family. I bet it would have better ratings than Cougar Town.
Cougar Town lost way too much of its Modern Family lead-in. I mean it couldnt even break a 3.0? Im guessing people are starting to lose interest in the show. The Middle looks better and better for renewal but I just wonder what ABC can put in that 8 timeslot that wont hurt The Middle like Hank did.
CW shouldve put a repeat of Melrose Place instead of a repeat of Gossip Girl. It could always attract more viewers.
Glee is surely the next Bones for FOX given last night’s fantastic ratings!
Ricardo, I think The Middle would do fantastic after Modern Family. However, I really think ABC needs to make the following changes to their comedy schedule:
8:00 – The Middle (new time)
8:30 – Better off Ted (original timeslot)
9:00 – Modern Family
9:30 – Cougar Town/Romantically Challenged
If The Middle could match the ratings Scrubs got in the spring, it would likely be renewed. If Ted wouldn’t be able to improve its current ratings by moving back to 8:30 on Wednesday, it would be (unfortunately) a goner for good.
psac… u make no sense. and smell like a fish. and look like a lobster from mars. what is that piece of green string in your hair? gosh.
Ooh, Glee was just 0.1 behind Modern Family. And just 0.2 away from being the TOP show of the night.
So I guess more 35-49 year olds watched than last week but less 18-34 year olds.
I’m glad because after 2 eps in which I wanted Rachel to kick everyone else’s ass for being sucky and for having bad songs, yesterday’s was awesome.
One of the best successes of the last 3 seasons, looking at this year’s #’s (I noticed it goes: 1 on Sun, 1 M, 1 Tu, 2 W directly vs. each other, 2 Th directly vs. each other).
Last eps: Private Practice 3.2
NCIS2 3.4
Cleveland 3.5
Glee & Mentalist 3.7
Modern Family 3.8
Big Bang 5.6
Wow, only beaten by 2.
Aww, The Middle drop to 2.4 but still way better when Hank was on. Glad MF and CT did not drop. Although Cougar Town dropped, I’m guessing the midseason finale of Glee kind of hurt it, of course just a theory since MF was not affected at all but I’m thinking some viewers could have check out the last half hour of Glee. Anyway, before thanksgiving, CT went back to 3.2 after the previous week’s ratings of below 3.0, so I’m quite confident CT could bounce back plus with Lisa Kudrow upcoming guest stint, it will surely boost up the ratings.
Wow! The Middle’s getting more viewers now than Cougar Town. That’s a surprise. Hooray for The Middle! Although I have to confess that I had ditched it for Bones reruns on TNT. Good thing I’m not part of Nielsen’s sample. Hehehe! Anyway, I still watch it online. As for Glee, I’d have to watch the whole season on DVD so I could catch-up. I’ve been hearing a lot of good things about it.
