Any chance that CNN may fold HLN back into the mother ship?
Given the weakness of CNN’s evening schedule, a transfer or two from HLN would seem a logical step, ratings-wise. And save a ton on production costs.
Is HLN a wasteful duplication of CNN’s time and money, in this era of audience decline?
I love the HLN day crew – they could easily replace the day daypart deadheads over at CNN.
And as much as I loathe the “embittered bitch” demo that HLN is targeting at night – it has proven much more popular than many of CNN’s PT offerings.
Is a cost-saving merger in the offing?
Cable systems can’t be happy about having to pay for both CNN and HLN and the production cost savings would seem to be compelling…
Same ratings, different days.P.S.
P.S. check out my new political quiz

Anderson Cooper is tanking. He’s doing only slightly better than Keith Olbermann’s rerun, and equal to Nancy Grace’s rerun. Wednesday anyway.
Demonjoe, lets end the link spamming, OK?
Sorry Bill I didn’t know it was a bad link.
How do I know if it is a bad link?
It’s not a bad link, but just stop posting the same link every day in the cable news comments.
Shep Smith and Greta’s numbers are lower than last months. O’Reilly is still at his range. Glenn has been down a couple hundred thousand this month. I think he needs to get back on talking about the economy.
Also, I will NEVER watch Law and Order again. EVER!
Bill, I actually just created that quiz today on Goto quiz.com.
JC, is that because NBC had them talk about the Bush administration prosecutions?
Oh yeah, Big Keith was over a million viewers again! Sure, he got pounded by BOR, and his ratings are drastically lower than last year… But let’s face it, Big Keith’s million plus viewers are so intelligent and great, it’s equal to about 5 million BOR’s unsophisticated viewers.
That is why Big Keith is always so happy with his numbers…..it’s not how high the rating is, it’s the quality of viewers. Progressive/liberal/socialist viewers are so enlightened, they should be counted 5 times. So in Big Keith’s world, he has 5 million viewers at 8pm, and another 2.5 million plus on the rerun. See? He is wonderful!!!
K.O. Lover,
Okay, Keith, stop blogging…it is time to get ready for tonight’s show…
Always respected “Law and Order”-until now..so sad…
CNN is just horrible in prime time it’s as about as interesting as watching paint dry ..just horrible campbell brown needs to be dropped she only garnished 450,000 viewers epic fail
Rachel Maddow is sinking. And no surprise. The Dems announced they want to borrow another two trillion dollars for their spending programs. Meanwhile Rachel is covering the legislative process in Uganda.
But MSNBC can celebrate at least one bit of good news. Maddow’s ratings in Kampala (the capital of Uganda) are on the rise.
Great night of Glenn Beck, he brought on John Stossel.
to K.O. Lover-so you’re saying you are 5 times as valuable as me, WOW!
To K.O. lover- Do you really believe Keith is happy that he is Tanking every night?
Demonjoe, and you’ve already linked to it in two different cable news posts.
Dick Cheney was on ‘Hannity’ the last 2 nights, a 2-part interview that I think helped ratings stay strong.
sorry, those will be the last ones now that I know I’m not supposed too.
Is it all right to give links to news articles?
