They must have just a massive book of synonyms for “lost to” and “beat” sitting on their desks when they write these press releases.

It’s good to see Fallon doing better. Independent of whether or not you like him as a host, the writing on his show is consistently good. It’s not always presented in the best way, but that’s another issue.

  2. Jon

    Fallon and O’brien are numbers 3 & 4 on people I can’t stand.
The first two have first names that start with R&B.

  3. zoddguts

    Craig beating Jimmy Fallon. :)

  4. Steve

At 12:35 a.m. ET, “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” tied CBS’s “Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson”

When does Nielsen take ratings? In L.A., Craig’s show doesn’t start until 12:37. At 12:35, Dave’s musical act is still on…

  5. rod

O’Brien stinks. TV goes off at 11:30.

    Highly recommend extra sleep.

  6. Howard Beale

Has America gone so far astray that the Letterman incident barely registers a blip? The fact that CBS and good ole Les did nothing about it shows that ratings are apparently the new values in America today.

Letterman violated the tenets of church groups, women’s groups, and government employment regulations all in one fell swoop, yet there appears to be zero accountability.

Perhaps this news is part of a quiet, switch the dial movement towards a guy who has become more political to keep in protection mode with those in power.

There was a time when CBS played reruns of its primetime shows latenight… They should be syndicating their own NCIS to themselves.

  7. Eldar

Jimmy Kimmel’s even worse than Letterman, Howard. He’s banging a chick that he promoted to head writer of his awful show! That’s criminally insane and a morale disaster! At least Letterman didn’t recklessly ruin the creative mojo of his program. An a-hole yes, an idiot, no.

Plus Letterman is, well, Letterman. He’s one of the Beatles as far as I’m concerned. Kimmel is and will always be culturally irrelevant poop.

  8. Ben

Fallon is awful. O’Brien is brilliant. Ferguson is weird. Dave is past his prime. These are the facts.

If there is a God, Jimmy Fallon will be forced to quit.

  9. Moxy

Fallon’s not the best, but he has some topnotch writers with innovative ideas. There have definitely been flops, but the stuff that’s worked for him has been born of some serious creativity. Now if only Fallon were better himself…

  10. aznfratboy

Wow, Conan really gets better demo ratings then Dave? Dave is quality, but isn’t what he once was, Conan is awful, really just… weird never seen anything else so I won’t comment on them.

  11. Moxy

I think you’ll find that Conan’s fans embrace his oddities and the fact that he’s “weird” is what we like ;)

  12. Bo

I can’t watch Conan. I can’t put my finger on it, same goes for the remote when finding a channel, can’t put my finger on NBC for Conan. He turns me off so I don’t turn him on. The first week he was on I watched about 5 minutes and turned it off and haven’t watched since. I couldn’t watch his old show either, I don’t find him funny. He is like watching an unfunny friend who thinks he is funny when everyone else knows he is not.

  13. Mike

Ratings dont mean everything…if they meant everything the
best tv show in the history of television would have been cancelled in its first year….
yes i AM talking about SEINFELD
Still FUNNY after all this year…while shows with huge ratings are
so unwatchable now (Friends, Will & Grace) and so annoying
