UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. – December 17, 2009 – The December 12 telecast of “Saturday Night Live” has scored season highs for the show in adults 18-49 and total viewers, with the overall viewership representing an 11-month high, according to “live plus same day” viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.
The December 12 telecast of “Saturday Night Live,” hosted by Taylor Lautner and featuring musical guest Bon Jovi, averaged a 3.1 rating, 11 share in adults 18-49 and 7.3 million viewers overall. The 7.3 million viewers is the show’s biggest overall audience since the January 10 telecast (hosted by Neil Patrick Harris and featuring musical guest Taylor Swift) averaged 8.9 million.
“Saturday Night Live” was the #1 telecast of the night in 18-49 and total viewers, topping all primetime programs on all the major networks. In fact, these are the highest 18-49 and total-viewer results for any Saturday night non-sports telecast on any major network this season, ahead of all Saturday primetime entertainment programming on all the major networks.
In adult 18-49, the December 12 edition of “Saturday Night Live” outscored every Saturday non-sports primetime telecast on every major network in nearly four years (since January 14, 2006).
