I am shocked that CNN is coming in thrid….If someone doesn’t agree or like fox…thats fine. But to watch MSNBC over CNN? Really? MSNBC is the single most irrelevant channel on all of cable. I wouldn’t even consider putting that white house propoganda machine on my screen. CNN may be left leaning and doesn’t report all the news (or biased in one direction) but it is head and shoulders above MSNBC.

Lets just look at the scoreboard. Every liberal state runs deep deficits and is deeply bankrupt. California, Michigan, etc. If you were to have a universal standard of intelligence, then that standard would be based on the only universal language: mathematics.

Public schools are complete shit, thats why I went to a private school. Public roads are mostly constructed by the state and local governments. Same with water. I do agree with almost all of what you said. But there is no comparison from Fox during the Bush years to MSLSD and the Messiah years. Although Fox didn’t pursue Bushes mistakes as heavily as they do the Messiah. However they did report them. MSLSD will never report a mistake the Messiah makes, and will do everything in their power to downplay them.

Furthermore, Climate gate is a big story and there needs to be more reporting and investigating into the global warming, or the climate change thing, or whatever they will call their fraud next. ACORN receives millions in tax payer money, and the fact that any organization like that would abuse it needs to be reported.

Finally, Fox is as fair and balance as its going to get. MSLSD isn’t news its all commentary. I watch them when I can and Its all dedicated to the Messiah. They don’t even pretend to be objective. Andrea Mitchell, Norah O’Donald, Contessa Brewer, and others might as well be commentators because they have a funny way of always throwing in their two cents. CNN is much of the same without the hate message. I stopped watching PBS when I was 5 so I have no clue what goes on there. I don’t think it was fair calling all “wing nuts” crazy, I’m a right winger and I’m as objective as they come. I can have a discussion with any liberal, as long as they don’t act like a Keith Overbite, or SCREWBALL.

My primary news choices. Special Report on Fox (mostly the first 40 hard-news minutes, the last-20 commentary is interesting but largely irrelevant), and Jim Lehrer on PBS. I’d give CNN a break, but their people are awful, top to bottom, they’ve got the most boring staff on TV. I have nothing against the network, but watching them is like the Weather Chanel during the mid 80s. Poor chemistry, hard to hold your interest.

The fundamental problem with 24/7 broadcast news is that they have to hold your interest. In the same time I can waste an hour with CNN, I can log into the WSJ and catch up on everything meaningful during the day. I don’t care about Tiger Woods, neighborhood murders, or whatever. CNN seems to have a real problem with interest. MSNBC, sheesh, they are a tool of the left. Pretty much the exact same as Fox was during the Bush years. Typically the best news is going to come from a dissenting voice. During the Bush years that was the NYT, now that’s going to be Fox and the WSJ.

Any rational adult should be able to filter opinion from news, regardless the source. The only caveat is when the source deliberately skips a topic. I think Fox is overdoing climategate, but everyone else needs to spend some thoughtful time on the subject. Glen Beck, O’Reilly, Hannity. Those are opinion guys. I don’t watch opinion guys unless they happen to be interviewing a personal hero of mine like Lance Armstrong, etc. The whole ACORN thing was blown out of proportion. I think the group has huge problems, but their are awful, cancerous groups on both sides of the spectrum.

And for everyone knocking people’s intelligence. It really makes me sick. People are allowed to disagree with you, and it says nothing about their aptitude. If you don’t believe that, you’re the one with the problem, not them. Give it a rest and be civil.

Those that rant about the left bias in the major news outlets just sound insane. While there is a consistency between the editorial content and those that went to college and got jounalism degrees, to think there is a concerted or coordinated effort to “shape” the news to a political ideaology would gave to be nutty right-wingers. Because anyone involved in the left knows that those people could not agree on mustard vs. ketchup on a dog much less put together a Bond Villian type nationwide media plan.

When you get a beer or two into the “the news is a left wing tool” set you usually find that what they really hate us anyone that made it past the 8th grade….

But this is a site about numbers so lets look at the numbers:

Fox News kept Florida as a tossup while the other networks called Florida for Gore in 2000. Both networks had the EXACT same poll numbers. Fox News was right.

Fox News called Ohio for Bush when his margin of voters in Ohio in 2004 was too great to call while every other network kept Ohio as a tossup. FOX News was right.

Fox News was among the first to call Ohio for Obama in 2008 as well.

This is stuff that’s not realy subjective at all. Based on typical turnout models and the percentage of precincts that voted, any objective person would’ve made the same call that Fox News did with regards to polling numbers. This is a clear and disturbing trend in how the “mainstream” networks and left-leaning cable networks present news. It is all manipulated. Still now, we have completely unrealistic polls with 38% Democratic/22% Republican sub-samples lauding Obama’s policies (while In reality the number was around 38/32 the last election and will likely revert to the norm of 36/33 the next election).

These media blowhards have stopped reporting the news and ignore conservatives at their own peril. We’re suppose to be stupid but yet somehow we can add and subtract and liberals can’t.
