Two "Dollhouse" Refugees Find Home On "Spartacus"

Joss Whedon's brother Jed and Jed's wife Maurissa Tancharoen who both wrote for Dollhouse (and Ms. Tancharoen has made brief appearances as the doll "Kilo" pictured above) have already lined up more work.

Both will be working on Starz' recently renewed for a second season before the first season premiered Spartacus, according to Mo Tanchareoen's Twitter feed.

And to anyone thinking, "Did this site really need another post about Dollhouse?"  No, probably not, but a.) it's at least some good news for Jed and Mo, and b.) when your favorite football team is the Washington Redskins and you blink and they're down by two touchdowns, distraction is your friend.

Who’s the headless guy at top right?

  2. Joss’ Biggest Fan?

No idea. I did a screen capture off of Hulu and then cropped it, but I did not save the original capture.

  3. MNIS

I think it’s Ballard, but I may be wrong. :D

  4. That Redskins first half was grim.

Like Mr. Jed Whedon and Mrs. Maurissa Tancharoen, I too shall take flight with my fandom to the upcoming ‘Spartacus: Blood & Sand’.

This power-writing couple co-authored “The Attic” episode of ‘Dollhouse’ which has been causing so much commotion amongst followers of the series since it aired this past Friday at 9 pm.

Coupled with Mr. Rob Thomas’s ‘Party Down’, STARZ channel is becoming safe harbour for the foremost television storytellers of our time.

The headless guy is probably Kilo’s handler.

  7. JBF bait? Hey, I’ll take it!

(And I’m a Bears fan so football’s pfft for me too.)

  8. Joss's Biggest Fan

I am much, much bigger than the guy in the pic! Otherwise I couldn’t be Joss’s Biggest Fan! (Not to be confused with my good buddy, Joss’s Fattest Fan, who’d post here if his fingers weren’t so fat they made typing next to impossible!)

Sadly, I cannot watch this “Spartacus” show, Dollhouse writers or not, because I do not get this Starz! I am still working out what show I will watch if (*sob!*) Dollhouse really comes to an end next month! It will be a show with a Whedon alumnus, but there are so many that it makes it hard to choose!

Dollhouse! Dollhouse! Dollhouse! Dollhouse rules! FOX drools! Dollhouse!

Starz hits the ball once again with Crash, Party Down, Gravity and Spartacus. I adore Crash an Party Down and i am so looking forward to Gravity(starring Krysten Ritter and Ivan Sergei) and Spartacus.

Joss’s Biggest Fan: next Dollhouses = Persons Unknown and Happy Town

    Waitasec:

Who’s the Redskins fan? Robert or Bill?

  12. Godfather, definitely Robert > me on Redskin fandom. Regardless, it was grim.

  13. Me

Good for them. They appear to be two of the more talented people associated with Dollhouse…

    JBF:

Might start with the Hulu line-up of Chuck and Castle (or vise versa, your choice)… 5 shows each, plus the Chuck pilot is parked out there too… that should give you a start on making you choice for post-Dollhouse. Just a thought :-)

I loved that you posted this, just this weekend I was wondering where Mo & Jed would end up. But Mo will now always be Kilo to me.
