New Series Premiere!
“Pilot”
Air Date: Friday, January 22 @ 9:00pm – 2-Hour Series Premiere
On the vibrant world of Caprica, in a culture recognizably close to our own, two dynamic families – the Graystones and the Adamas – live separately on opposite ends of society until they are brought together by tragedy.
Daniel Graystone (Eric Stoltz), a computer engineering genius, owns a large corporation that is spearheading the development of artificial intelligence. His unwavering professional pursuits are driven to extreme measures when personal tragedy strikes him and his wife Amanda (Paula Malcomson): their strong-willed daughter Zoe (Alessandra Torresani) dies in a terrorist bombing fueled by an underground religious dogma. Unbeknownst to her parents, the teenager had also been dabbling in these radical teachings, which were secretly propagated by her school’s headmistress, Sister Clarice Willow (Polly Walker).
Also living on Caprica but deeply entrenched in a cultural heritage that sets them apart from the rest of civilization, is the Adama clan. The family is helmed by Joseph Adama, a renowned criminal defense attorney – with questionable ties and sometimes-devious methods – and father to William (Sina Najafi) and Tamara (Genevieve Beuchner). When Joseph’s wife and daughter perish in the same attack that befell Zoe Graystone, Joseph’s path soon crosses Daniel’s, and the two become united in their grief.
Soon after, Daniel lets Joseph in on a sinister secret: he’s discovered that Zoe, a computer genius in her own right, had been experimenting with perilous virtual reality technology along with her friend Lacy (Magda Apanowicz), and managed the impossible: she created a life-like avatar of herself, a perfect digital copy. Obsessed with the possibility of seeing his daughter once again, and preying on Joseph’s shared emotions, Daniel implores his new confidante to help him make Zoe’s vision a complete reality. Appalled by the ethical implications of recreating a soul, but aching to bring his own daughter back to life, Joseph complies…and the fate of the human race is altered forever.
“Rebirth”
Air Date: Friday, January 29 @ 9:00pm
Zoe (Alessandra Torresani) struggles with being trapped in the robot while grief and pressure mount on the Adamas and the Graystones. Joseph (Esai Morales) makes a decision that drives him to confront Daniel (Eric Stoltz), and Amanda (Paula Malcomson) makes a shocking public confession.
BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: THE PLAN
Directed by Edward James Olmos
Air Date: Sunday, January 10 @ 9:00pm – 2-Hour Network Premiere

Directed by and starring Edward James Olmos, The Plan also stars, Tricia Helfer, Grace Park, Michael Hogan, Dean Stockwell, Michael Trucco and Kate Vernon.
The Cylons sneak attack on the 12 colonies devastates the human race. But it is not a death blow and Cylon model #1, John Cavil (DEAN STOCKWELL), is determined to finish the job.
Two of the Cavil models end up taking different approaches to the task. One makes his way to Galactica's fleet, working covertly to direct the actions of the Cylons living and working, undetected, among the humans. But many of these Cylons, including Boomer (GRACE PARK), the Six called Shelly Godfrey (TRICIA HELFER), and Leoben (CALLUM KEITH RENNIE) have formed ties, even loving bonds, with humans. This Cavil's frustration mounts as his efforts to destroy the fleet fail and as the humans get closer to touching his own hardened heart.
The other Cavil goes to Caprica, where he insinuates himself into the rebel group led by his "father" Sam Anders (MICHAEL TRUCCO). This Cavil learns a lesson about the durability of love that changes everything.

so excited for bsg: the plan
BSG: The Plan has been out on torrents for over a month now. Definite skip; even my BSG fanatic partner was let down.
Can’t believe Sanctuary, hopefully they end this season as well as last season finished. Can’t Wait for season 3 which will have 20 episodes, always felt that the seasons were too short. So good news for a great show.
It was pretty disappointing. I wouldn’t say its a skip necessarily, as some of the insights it provides are interesting. But I certainly wouldn’t sit through commercials or the censoring from the DVD version.
Caprica is pretty good, I’ve had the DVD since it came out.
Glad to see Druitt back in the Jan 8 Sanctuary. He’s been missing since episode three. Of course, Heyerdahl has been busy as “Big Guy” since he plays both roles.
Last week’s episode focusing on Tesla was pretty cool – lots of opportunities for him to be an a-hole! He has the best role on the show, although Druitt is still my favorite character.
Can’t wait to see Druitt return on Sanctuary. And the greatest abnormal on earth? Sounds intriguing. Really glad this show is coming back.
@Empire
Short seasons are not a bad thing. Many Cable shows do it and the UK TV is known for it.
Isn’t the DollHouse finale on the 22nd too? It’d be interesting to see if it effects the ratings for the new bsg series.
@ Don
Never said they were, I think having 13 is usually a good thing, most shows on cable with 13 always seem better quality, but at the same time I would love to see what the show can do with longer story arcs, would they be better or worse.
I saw BSG: The Plan on DVD a month ago and while the idea was cool, it was mostly a clips movie with a few new segments. I was a little disappointed by it.
Empire, Cable shows don’t make the same kind of advertising revenue that Network shows make, so they normally don’t have the budget to produce 22-24 episode seasons. 13-16 is the norm, with an occasional 20 episode season.
Not Disagreeing with that, as i had said I find most cable show better because they have less to work with and time. Which allows for alot more the happen each episode and season. Again just saying i would like to see what would happen with 20 episodes find that broadcast shows drag on a lot. But yes broadcast allows for more because of the ad money, but cable puts on the better show with more variety. As opposed to 3 Csi’s, 3 Law & orders, 2 NCIS’, potentially 2 Criminal minds etc. Procedural shows and even medical shows have come along way, but nothing original in awhile.
