New Jersey Italian American Legislative Caucus Asks MTV To Cancel “Jersey Shore”

The New Jersey Italian American Legislative Caucus wrote a letter to Viacom asking it to stop the telecasts of Jersey Shore on MTV  immediately.  They have also asked advertisers to boycott the show and called the negative ethnic stereotyping “wildly offensive.”

More free publicity for the show, and this is one of the exceptions where buzz matters.   Complaints about the show have help create some of  buzz, and the buzz actually has made a difference. Ratings for Jersey Shore keep going up!
