Definitions:

*Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted ViewingProgram ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs which are currently in approximately 24.4% of all U.S. TV households. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

  1. Was Scrubs really a repeat? Why are they repeating it, when they are just going to burn it off next month anyway?

  2. Chmarin

Univision tied FOX for #1 in adults 18-34. Wow.

  3. maddhatter24d

Guess we finally figure out what BOT’s rating floor is!

  4. Capitalist Infidel

What’s funny is I just started watching Better off Ted and I think its somewhat humorous. I guess I’m always last on the train.

  5. Yes, Scrubs was really a repeat, and I think it winds up being a timing thing. This Friday night an original episode of each is airing + a repeat BOT.

Chmarin, Univision often wins 18-34 outright on slow nights, it’s just that we typically don’t wind up reporting Univision’s data for Fridays and Saturdays (because we don’t usually see the data for those days until Monday)

  6. Peter

Ouch for Parks & Rec, all four episodes did under a 1.0. If last night was an audition to see if it deserves to return – it failed.

I don’t know what NBC was thinking airing 2 hour comedy marathons all week. Were they just trying to see if Community and Parks can hold their own weight?

This is a tough week for me to get into network TV. Lot to do on the social calendar, plus there is tons of college football & basketball on. Great game last night between Wisconsin & Miami and another tonight between Arizona & Nebraska.

  7. Sid

90210 and Melrose improved slightly in viewers this week. =)

  8. Anonymous

Jay Leno with the second highest ratings of the night for NBC – definitely a keeper! I’m reallyy impressed by that 13.7931034% build from its lead in.

  9. DuMont

It took a little bit of time, but now at last ‘Better Off Ted’ is keeping 100% of the ‘Scrubs’ demo and retaining 93% of ‘Scrubs’ viewers, just like the levels we saw last season.

Come Friday night, ‘Better Off Ted’ faces its moment of truth. On Saturday afternoon, all eyes will be carefully poring over ‘Better Off Ted’s retention out of the ‘Rose Bowl’, especially in the all important M18-49 demographic which has been the one highlight that ABC has been able to write some nice press releases around.

  10. R.J. Sheedy

Hey, at least Ted Did Better Than Last Week, and it beat Parks And Recreations, i’m happy with that.

  11. firestorm

Scrubs and better off ted our the best shows on tuesday and it sucks their not doing well at lest better off ted beat parks & rec even though it was a repeat on a different night.

  12. rob

Im just glad Better Off Ted didnt go below a 1.0 even airing after a repeat of Scrubs. Remember, Scrubs is 2 episodes ahead of Better Off Ted which is the reason for the repeat.

  13. Mark D.

90210, The Vampire Diaries, and Smallville repeat the best for The CW.

  14. Erys

A rerun of melrose place beating gossip girl, now that’s embarrasing.

  15. usedtolovecoco

The problem with Better Off Ted is that none of the actors has any comedic sense. Not one of them. The writing is surprisingly good, though; watch it and imagine how funny it could have been with a better cast, and you’ll see how sharp the writing is.

  16. T

i loooove Better off Ted! I cant believe, more viewers are watching it. It’s definitely one of the funniest shows on TV right now.

  17. Lucky

Portia De Rossi is brilliant on BOT, just like she was on her other smart and funny show, Arrested Development. Unfortunately, BOT will be another one gone too soon.

  18. marc

I find that BOT is a lot like Dilbert, but real life. Don’t know why it didn’t succeed. Besides BBT, this is the funniest show.

  19. Cucumber Jones

Let’s hope The Office does poorly tonight, P&R fans.

  20. I was in a distinct minority of TV viewers who watched all 2 hours of the “Parks & Recreation” marathon. I think it’s 100% improved over last season, when that storyline about the pit became too much to bear.
Now that the characters are developing it’s a much funnier show. It’s a good cast and deserves a better fate. It’s become one of my favorite shows.
