Thanks to Hulu, I’ve now seen every single Stargate SG-1 episode… some more than once… *sigh*… now I can go into 2010 happy

  2. Hudson

Hulu, why don’t you come to Canada already?! :P

  3. Mike TeeVee

Arrested Development has been off the air for more than 5 years and it is still pulling numbers…. I wonder if anyone at Fox realizes how bad they screwed that up.

  4. Adam

The only thing I watched on HULU all year was Saturday Night Live.

  5. Master Moron

It’s awesome that Naruto: Shippuden is number 5 on the list. It’s simply amazing that an animated show in Japanese with English subtitles manages to beat so many huge network hits. I’d love to know how many views all of these shows get.

Handlebars! Flobots! Sorry, I love that song. “Movers, Shakers and producers…” I like Hulu alright, but I don’t watch it much, Fringe started boring me…

why does hulu not list their ‘most watched movies’? on this list?

the home page opens with TV and MOVIES. oddly, this ‘mover and shaker list’ has ‘most popular trailers’ (trailers are simply ADS for films, that also run on a dozen other sites, in fact, far more viewed on youtube)

hulu has been offering ecclectic films from independent spirit award winning directors like ‘STRICTLY SEXUAL’— which, in just 3 months in 2009 became their MOST WATCHED MOVIE OF ALL TIME, and in the top 50 of ALL THINGS most viewed on hulu (including every major network show, SNL clip, trailer, everything.)

so while i thank hulu for bringing smart, edgy, indie films with unknown actors to the public (which the public, after viewing it more than any other film, clearly enjoy) i think it’s odd there has been no mention of these widely viewed indie films in the ‘mover and shaker’ category.

p.s. thx robert for enjoying the episode of ‘sons of anarchy’ i wrote on, show a brother a lil’ love on the hulu, huh?

It’s interesting to me that THE TONIGHT SHOW in the Most Popular list, and that THE JAY LENO SHOW is not on it at all, given that they’re broadly quite similar as programs; was there a cutoff that excluded new fall shows for some reason?

  10. Moxy

I question the Tonight Show’s position on this list as well.

As far as the Jay Leno Show goes, I assume it isn’t on the list because it started later in the year and because it’s not as popular with the particular demo that regularly uses Hulu.

  11. Bryan

Come to think of it, it’s interesting that SNL and TONIGHT are the only NBC late-night shows making an appearance, given the tilted playing field their programming for that daypart has enjoyed on Hulu. As a Conan partisan, I’d be thrilled if his show did have that strong a hold on Hulu users, but presented as it is above, it’s just sort of a strange anomaly.
