In 2009 TV by the Numbers nearly quintupled its site visits (to over 10 million) and pageviews (to nearly 28 million) vs. 2008 (our first full calendar year). Our unique visitors (not visible above) increased to nearly 5.9 million from 1.3 million.
Other metrics showing positive trends were Bounce Rate (the percentage of single-page visits) and Average Time on Site. Pages/Visit fell, which is not a positive, but that may be a function of a number of big visit days in 2009 due to Drudge Report single story links, plus the fact that we were part of a Bravo/Television Without Pity contest in early 2008 that drove some very high pages/visit traffic. We’re still getting a healthy portion of our visits from new visitors, which keeps me hopeful for more growth in the future.
