NBC was having kind of a bad day, but its former entertainment chief Ben Silverman was wheeling and dealing on behalf of his new gig, Electus – a company formed in a partnership with Barry Diller’s IAC. Later today a deal will be formally announced where Electus produces content for Yahoo. Though no specifics on the type of content were given, it seems the content will be produced with the intent of more integrated advertising.
“We are always getting requests from advertisers for exclusive opportunities” for integrations into Web programs, Joanne Bradford, the senior vice president for North America revenue and market development at Yahoo told The New York Times . “We really feel like Ben has proven that he can come up with great content.”
