The Hollywood Reporter reports that Starz is mulling the fate of Crash. Actually, only the headline reports that. The story itself pretty much assumes like everyone else that the show will be canceled referencing the growing speculation that the show won't be renewed for a third season.
Why speculate? Sure, new Starz president and CEO Chris Albrecht hasn't canceled the show yet, but he's been on the job for 3 days! Surprisingly, the THR piece didn't talk about the show's ratings at all. Sure, ratings aren't the big deal for subscription services like Starz that they are for advertising supported networks, but...
When I first saw the ratings for the initial airing of the season two finale on December 18, I thought they must've been for a repeat. I thought that because it garnered only 94,000 viewers (.094 million) and a 0.0 adults 18-49 rating.
Can there really be any drama about the show's fate other than when there will be confirmation that it's canceled?
