Syndicated Crime Procedurals Shape Primetime Cable Line-ups

Anyone who looks at the weekly cable ratings knows what a beast syndicated reruns of NCIS are on USA Network.  Multichannel news has a lengthy article on just how big of a deal  the crime procedurals are, especially when it comes to shaping the lineups of certain cable networks:

For USA, such shows account for 62% of the primetime programming schedule, while syndicated procedurals represent 34% of Spike TV’s programming lineup, according to the networks. Off-network procedurals comprised 33% of TNT’s 2009 schedule.
