CBS won a very competitive night both with overall viewers and with adults 18-49, and tied for the lead with adults 18-34. Bothand Accidentally on Purpose saw series highs with both adults 18-49 and overall viewers. For the first time in a while, Two and Half Men not only bested in total viewers, but also won with adults 18-49.
Chuck averaged a 2.5/6 adults 18-49, fourth place in the 8pm hour. The CW's got off to a fairly strong start for the CW with the best Monday 9pm performance in total viewers all season and the best Monday 9pm performance in viewers since January 12, 2009. drew a 2.4/6 with CW's target of women 18-34, that's about 14 percent better than did at 8pm. Now the question is whether those who sampled will come back for more next week.
continued to be strong and improved versus last week. 's 2.8 adults 18-49 was a season high and improved versus last week's 2.6.
The second night of the 24 premiere was down over 10 percent from Sunday's 3.8 adults 18-49 rating to a 3.4/8. Comparisons versus last year are apples to pears since a year ago, 24 didn't air for both hours. The 9pm hour was down about 13% from the 4.2 adults 18-49 rating between 9p-10p on January 19, 2009.
NBC now talks about the over a million DVR viewers Heroes adds to its live+SD numbers, but no matter how you slice it, down is down, and Live+SD or Live+7, viewership for Heroes is down to series lows - and last night was the series low for an original episode, dropping below a 2.0 adults 18-49 rating (to a 1.8) and dropping below 4 million viewers.

- O'Brien (1.8/8 in 18-49 in local people meters) out-delivered CBS's (0.9/4) in Nielsen's 25 local markets with People Meters.
- At 12:35 a.m., Jimmy Fallon (0.9/5 in 18-49 in local people meters) tied CBS's LATE (0.5/3).

Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs which are currently in approximately 24.4% of all U.S. TV households. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.
