Last night's NFC Championship game where the New Orleans Saints defeated the Brett Favre led Minnesota Vikings averaged 57.93 million viewers in the time-zone adjusted fast nationals. It was the most-watched NFC championship on FOX ever (though 1982's NFC Championship between the Cowboys and 49ers on CBS averaged 68.7 million and still stands as the most-watched NFC championship).
Last night's game averaged 21.3 rating with adults 18-49.

Once again: “WOW!” 0_0
Averaged 57.9? Wonder if it peaked over 60 in the finals.
These numbers will be very close if not identical to the finals since it’s a special time zone adjusted run. the best half hour peaked at 65.16 million. I imagine the best 15 minutes and the # of people who watched at least 6 minutes of the game is higher still.
Any word on viewership for the Colts/Jets game?
Wow…. 65.2. Must be huge smiles at FOX today.
Jeff, not yet. i’d guess later today or tomorrow.
jets/colts got a 28.4
i presume that 28.4 is a HOUSEHOLD RATING and not 28.4 million viewers (or adults 18-49 rating). We’re holding out for viewer numbers and 18-49 demo
Indeed, Robert has to be correct. 28.4 million average viewers would be shockingly low, and a 28.4 18-49 demo rating, shockingly high.
For comparison, the household rating for the NFC game was 30.6.
28.4 would work out over 40m which is higher than the primetime AFC game last year which was 23.8 and 40.6m so CBS will be just as happy as FOX with their result.
Yea i meant 28.4 was the rating.
That 65 million had to during the overtime, wouldn’t it?
twuest, the last two half hours averaged 65.16m and 64.82m.
Jets-Colts on CBS drew 46.9M.
