CBS NEWS "SUNDAY MORNING" REMAINS THE #1 SUNDAY MORNING NEWS PROGRAM WITH THE JANUARY 24 BROADCAST
CBS News SUNDAY MORNING was the #1 Sunday morning news program in households, viewers and adults 25-54 on January 24. The broadcast posted a 3.6/10 with 5.13m viewers, 1.6/08 in adults 25-54 according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. Compared to the same day last year, SUNDAY MORNING was up +3% in households (from 3.5/10), +7% in adults 25-54 (from 1.5/08) and even in viewers.
The January 24 broadcast anchored by Charles Osgood featured correspondent Seth Doane's report on sexual addiction and correspondent Anthony Mason's profile of singer Melody Gardot.
SUNDAY MORNING is broadcast (9:00-10:30 AM, ET; check local listings) on the CBS Television Network. Rand Morrison is the executive producer.
This is quite possibly one of the best shows on television at the moment. Great and unexpected storytelling.
I agree. This show could work well in primetime with the right story subject matter. Its sort of like an uncomplicated 60 Minutes
Sunday Morning is surely the best show on television…quality from start to finish. For over 30 years it has remained a uniquely interesting broadcast.
No matter how late my Saturday night goes, I love to watch this show live and tape the Sunday talkers instead. I’ve been watching it since it debuted back in the late ’70s, and it is can’t miss.
I’ve always appreciated the way the series synthesizes hard news reporting with throughtful, informative arts and culture pieces. No other program does this so professionally and with such impeccable integrity.
Good to hear Sunday Morning is doing well. This is part of my must watch list each week.
