- Three of the top five P25-54 series on cable in January were on USA, led by a new season of Burn Notice at #1 among both P25-54 (2.52 million) and P18-49 (2.52 million). WHITE COLLAR and PSYCH both found success on new nights this month with Tuesday’s WHITE COLLAR, taking in 2.01 million in P25-54 and 1.93 million in P18-49 while PSYCH’s new Wednesday 10P slot drew 2 million in P25-54 and 1.91 million P18-49.

More men watched the WHITE COLLAR mid-season premiere than anything else in this timeslot since June 12, 2001.

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent. Since Psyche premiered I have paid more attention to USA. That is how I got into L&O SVU. Now I watch Psyche, Burn Notice and White Collar. I liked the earlier seasons of House so I dont keep up with it. Never got into IN Plain Sight. But I’m waiting to see what they do with Criminal Intent. I like Goren and Eames but Jeff golblum wasn’t as bad as I thought he would be. I can deal with the swap every other week. Even though I know they are phasing the originals out. That’s when I’ll stop watchin. Keep up thte good work USA. Only thing to ask for now is to add a couple more episodes to each season of your shows. Even thugh Royal Pains is a summer show I think it could have worked with some shows in the spring.
A few years back I saw a clip of a new series called ‘Psych’, to air on USA. It looked funny, so I set my DVR for the pilot.
Later, as I viewed the pilot, I laughed ridiculously, knowing I had to have my 18 yr. old son see it…now getting your teenage son to be interested in watching anything their parents suggest is quite a feat, but one Saturday afternoon when we were all home for some unknown reason, I got both he and my two teen daughters to watch…they LOVED it, and they now never miss an episode and have purchased the first two seasons, (good, because I now actually had room on my DVR to record other shows).
This show and the Middle are the only two shows my entire family will watch together, (I also recently told them to give the Middle a try)…Some like NCIS, some like Heroes, some like Idol, some like Alton Brown’s ‘Good Eats’, ( my girls have a crush on Alton),but we all, and anyone who happens to drop in, love Psych.
My favorite episode has Gus defending himself from a serial killer with a ‘pool noodle’, you know, …those long plastic nerf toys that float?
Another finds a Spelling Bee contestant that wants to win so badly that he poison’s the judges’ Chinese carryout.
Fun and funny stuff, but still a ‘who-done-it’ that makes you think. I’m not surprised viewers followed it to a new night…I just hope the kids get the newest episodes on DVD so I can have my DVR back.
….Just an added note…NBC, why not air the original pilot and episodes of Psych on NBC at 10:00? The new shows can stay on USA, and a new audience will find Psych, leading them to also tune in to USA.
Everyone will be watching to see what’s going on the network at 10:00, and this show already has a young following,(demos?)…just sayin’…
I completely agree with Ohio Girl. They should reair the Pilots of Psych, White Collar and Burn Notice on NBC at 10:00 and open them up to a new audience.
Hey, ohiogirl, you may be on to something with that! It has had enough episodes for syndication, right? I see no reason USA network should have Psych all to itself! Share the love, NBC-Universal!
It’s not a bad idea, and it wouldn’t be the first time the parent network aired repeat programming from one of the cable partners. I remember years ago NBC counter-programmed the Super Bowl with episodes of “Queer Eye.” It may be the last truly genius thing the network ever did.
I have all the eps of White Collar on my DVR, but would watch again on NBC, I love this series. It is such fun and the cast are great together.
