TNT, TBS Ratings Featuring Men Of A Certain Age, Leverage, NBA, Meet The Browns & Lopez Tonight

Driven in part by its successful original series and NBA coverage, TNT saw its January deliveries of viewers grow by 3% and households by 6% in total day when compared to last January.

TNT’s acclaimed original series Men of a Certain Age has averaged 4.4 million viewers, 1.9 million adults 18-49 and 2.4 million adults 25-54 since its premiere.  The show has scored triple-digit growth for the time period when compared to the four weeks prior to premiere.

  • Through its first six episodes, the series has demonstrated it has a solid audience of viewers who don’t want to miss a single episode.  Its Live + 7 deliveries show 41% growth among viewers, 53% growth among adults 18-49 and 50% growth among adults 25-54 when compared to Live viewing.

Leverage has averaged 4.5 million viewers, 1.8 million adults 18-49 and 2.2 million adults 25-54 in its second season.  When compared to the first season, it is up 14% among viewers.

  • With Live + 7 deliveries now in for Leverage’s first winter episode (Jan. 13), the show garnered 55% growth among viewers and 56% growth among adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 when compared to Live viewing.

The 2009-10 NBA regular season on TNT continues to experience tremendous growth, averaging a 1.2 national household rating, up 9% over the first 29 games of the 2008-09 NBA season (1.1 national household rating). In addition, total viewers are up 8% (1,774,000 vs. 1,648,000) and households are up 9% (1,348,000 vs. 1,237,000).

The network has also seen significant increases in key demos including:

  • Adults 18-34:  +6% (566,000 in 2009 vs. 533,000 in 2008)
  • Adults 18-49:  +2 % (969,000 vs.  954,000)
  • Adults 25-54:  +4 % (879,000 vs. 844,000)
  • Men 18-34:  +5 % (413,000  vs. 394,000)
  • Men 18-49:  +3% (687,000 vs.  666,000)
  • Men 25-54:  +7% (622,000 vs.   579,000)

Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns ranked as ad-supported cable’s #1 comedy in January among viewers (2.5 million viewers), households (1.7 million) and adults 18-49 (1.3 million).

TBS’s late-night hit Lopez Tonight averaged 1.2 million viewers; 405,000 adults 18-34; and 742,000 adults 18-49 in January.  The show continues to deliver tremendous time-period growth for the network.
