STACK YOUR ACADEMY AWARDS® PREDICTIONS AGAINST “AT THE MOVIES” CO-HOSTS
A.O. SCOTT AND MICHAEL PHILLIPS
Burbank, CA (February 8, 2010) – As the countdown to the 82nd annual Academy Awards® is already underway, movie review show “At the Movies” has announced a contest – Out-Pick the Critics. Beginning February 26, viewers can log onto the website AtTheMoviesTV.com and fill out an online ballot and submit their awards predictions. If entrants have more correct predictions than either or both critics A.O. (Tony) Scott of the The New York Times and Michael Phillips of the Chicago Tribune, they are eligible to win. The online ballots will feature all 24 competitive categories.
The Out-Pick the Critics submissions will commence online on Friday, February 26 at 12pm PT/3pm ET, and all entries must be received by 12am PT/3am ET on Saturday, March 6. There are two chances to win, as participants have the opportunity to submit their ballots against both Scott and Phillips’ individual picks. The winner of each contest will be randomly selected from the pool of entrants who have more correct answers than the critics. The winner of the A.O. Scott race will be awarded a Sony Bravia 46” LCD HD television, while the winner of the Michael Phillips contest will win a Sony Blu-ray Disc™ Player and a collection of 25 Blu-Ray DVDs. Details and official rules can be found at AtTheMoviesTV.com. The two winners, if any, will be announced on “At the Movies” the weekend of March 13.
In addition, each weekend on “At the Movies” leading up to the awards, co-hosts A.O. Scott and Michael Phillips will be engaging in in-depth discussions concerning the top tier categories and will each be predicting who they think will be taking home the coveted statues.
