Interesting to see The CW testing the waters with thirty minute reality shows. I have no clue how they will perform, but following America’s Next Top Model is the best place for them.
Oh no.
I have enough of reality shows
Will reality shows ever end, don’t watch too much of the CW but original scripted shows would be nice, shows me that networks are actually trying to put forth good tv.
This crap is why it is embarrassing for any male to admit to watching The CW. Top Model gets away with it, only just as I imagine it has a lot of gay males tuning in, but as a gender, High Society and Fly Girls is a miss.
that’s why the CW’s core focus is WOMEN 18-34. not men.
I don’t think they will do very well, but yeah following ANTM is their best chance!! But wathever! How do you think Cycle 14 of ANTM will perform????
Look on the bright side: CW has to cancel something besides Melrose Place. I’m sure everyone is in agreement that it should be reality crap.
The only CW show that attracts men is Smallville! SV press releases only include good male demos
!
Anyways.. I’m not surprised that the CW continues on adding shows to the wednesday time slot.. no friday love from CW as usual!
Smallville #1 Fan:
No network shows Friday love. Not even CBS, who has 3 scripted dramas on the night, advertised any of those shows during the Super Bowl.
Jared, they did promo Miami Medical, sure it’s not on the air yet, but still a little Friday / Super Bowl love. though that might have been more Bruckheimer love than Friday love.
Smallville #1 Fan
I strongly think you should retract your statement that Smallville is the only show that attracts a men.
Using the numbers for W in the two age groups gives you a rough estimate of the male demo and in that regard SN has often achieved (this season though not the last two weeks) more male viewers in adults 18-49 and adults 18-34.
But for this week, Smallville is the CW # 1 show in male’s for adults 18-49 and adults 18-34.
I don’t hate reality shows, hell the Amazing Race is one of my obsessions. And I find it to be a quality made show.
But, but the reality shows on the CW tend to be extremely cheap (TAR isn’t and why even though its CBS #1 show on Sunday by a significant margin in all age groups except 55 and older it still has had its episode order cut down, and only aired once a year), thus it really hurts the network and shows the CW has this really cheap network (which it is).
I watch CW for Supernatural, and that’s it.
(I gave up on Smallville quite a few seasons ago.)
I wonder if Fly Girls is a remake of Mile High, a British show from 6-7 years ago. That was an entertaining show.
A classy high with life unexpected. Too a new low with this crap.
All these CW offerings to be thoroughly spanked by Idol. RE: Super Bowl, no Friday mentions during the game because a) none of them are airing this Friday except for a Numb3rs repeat (prior to getting bumped by Survivor/Undercover Boss encores, GW and Medium were to be repeats anyway) and b) they’re all on the bubble. Miami Medical is a show that I can CBS keeping for a while despite what I expect to be crappy ratings, well crappy by The Eye’s standards.
Well, there’s THREE shows I won’t be watching.
I will watch Fly Girls and High Society. Screeners were sent out for Fly Girls and alot of the people who got to preview the first episode really enjoyed it.
didn’t Dawn practically say in that interview that she had not faith in fly girls and only high society look like it could be a hit
