Have the mighty fallen?   Burn Notice was pushed out of the top 10 by a slew of kids programs and WWE Monday Night Raw, but the 18-49 rankings look quite a bit different than the general rankings below.  With adults 18-49 Burn Notice was third for the week (trailing both of the WWE Raw), Teen Mom: Check Up With Dr. Drew was number four, Pawn Stars was number 5 (and number 7) and Family Guy reruns on Adult Swim were number 6, 8 and 10!  Family Guy reruns accounted for 14 of the top 50 programs with adults 18-49 on ad supported basic cable.

What is Burn NoticeIt's not a reality show about sunglasses.

We have already posted a bit of stuff that isn't on the list, like the Caprica results on Syfy Friday night, and even most Starz' Spartacus: Blood and Sand and FX's Archer.

Unfortunately we can't post everything,  but we post quite a bit, so in addition to the recommendations for finding cable ratings below, I also recommend our site's search feature near the top right of the site.

We always post whatever specific show data we received directly and see via press release or other trade publications.  You can  subscribe to our RSS feed and  you can also follow @TravisYanan on Twitter.  During the week he usually posts some (not all) cable results for each weekday, usually late in the afternoon on the east coast (and Friday night data isn't posted until Monday) and he posts the links to that info on his Twitter account to the info on Marc Berman's PI Forums.  You should also follow @TVBill (it's not Bill Gorman, but he is a TV ratings junkie and sometimes posts cable ratings info. You can also follow me on Twitter, sometimes I will post some cable ratings, though I am not taking requests there...

Nothing from Tuesday made it into the chart. Ha, Lost really did hit all the cable channels hard, didn’t it?

  2. in total viewers, the only cable show in primetime that made it into the top 50 from Tuesday was The O’Reilly Factor (but that was from 8pm-9p, pre LOST).

With 18-49, several programs made it into the top 50, including White Collar, 19 and Counting and Dirty Jobs. But only the Teen Mom special was ranked high (#4) (that ran from 10p-11:30p).

iCarly is just taking over isn’t it. The Yellow Porous One better watch out!

  4. Some Guy Named John

The SNL bit about Burn Notice was hilarious, Funny enough it might be number 11 this week, but I didn’t watch 1-10.

  5. tvfan

  8. John

I find iCarly quite funny, to be honest.

  9. lainey

Lots of adults have always watched Spongebob, and now watch the Penguins of Madagascar. Where I used to work, many people had Spongebob screensavers-no, I don’t, but if I did, I would proudly admit it :) .

I still really feel that viewers across the spectrum often like these humorous, rather lovable, characters because-for a a little whil- you can just laugh and smile at something totally inane, and silly, and leave one’s own troubles behind, even for just a little while.

    Long live King Julian!

  10. Cody

So is Nickelodeon Programing new episodes on Saturday Morning. I hope so because it means saturday morning rises again.

  11. Eric

Hey Robert, how is Southland’s first season doing on TNT? Do you think its ratings are going to be good enough for it to be picked up?

  12. Eric, if you search on Southland on our site search (upper right) you can finds some of the ratings for the repeats of season one on TNT.

The first of the six episodes from season two is still a few weeks away.

I was never optimistic about the series getting picked up for additional new episodes, but as far as the ratings go, I think we need to wait to see how the six new, never-before-telecast episodes do.

  13. So the so-called “kids’ network” has two of the three biggest Total Viewer draws on all cable. Interesting.

That’s pretty much it for me. I get enough drama from my daily life, why do I want to see it in my TV programming too? :D

  14. Patrick

WTF is “Fanboy & Chum Chum”?

  15. 5506/orange5506

    Woo-hoo, Pawn Stars!!!!!!!!!!

  16. Seymour Hall

    Not surprised at anything.

  17. Nadine Harris

Burn Notice has become such a predictable bore that I’ve stopped taping it and just let go of it. I just love Jeffrey Donovan and Bruce Campbell too, but I just got fed up with the constant shoot em up and blowing up cars and jumping off roofs — yawn. Humor: great. Same old mayhem: getting impossible to keep watching. I wonder if other people are feeling the same and that’s why it’s dipped? It may bounce back. People may not realize it’s back on yet.

  18. Val

@ Nadine. I got bored with Burn Notice about the middle of last season. But I’ve gotten bored with USA shows in general. They just all seem like carbon copies. A crime/detective show with a quirky character with some humor. The former head of programming for USA in an interview back a few months ago in EW basically admitted as such. But as long as viewers keep coming they’re happy.

  19. mnd_cupid

When is wizards of waverly place return and how is rupauls drag race doing on either one of logo or vh1 ? …. I wanna know please

  20. Nadine Harris

I kind of agree, Val, although I do keep watching for a while. I began to put off watching the tapes of “Burn Notice” last season. And when I finally did, I kept turning it off out of terrible boredom. Now I’ve finally said, enough. But I kept watching “Monk” to the bitter end and I have been enjoying “White Collar” this season. You do have to give the network the fact that their casting is really excellent.
