To the surprise of absolutely nobody, Super Bowl XLIV was the week's most watched program with both adults 18-49 and overall viewers. Of course, with 106.48 million average viewers, it is, according to Nielsen, the most-viewed program of all time. Post game coverage and Undercover Boss which followed the game rounded out the top three, pushing American Idol to fourth (and fifth) for the week.
For the numbers below it's not just the primetime viewing, but the viewing for the entire duration of the program. For Super Bowl XLIV that was from 6:31p-9:50p. The post game coverage ran from 9:50p-10:13p, and Undercover Boss ran from 10:13p-11:13p.
Below are the top 25 tables for both adults 18-49 and overall viewing.
Weekly cable show ratings and overnight broadcast show ratings are also available.

Interesting to note, NBC doesn’t have a single show that breaks 10 million? Where would FOX be without AI? ABC is doing very well in the demo, better than I expected. CBS is just rock solid, even without the big game.
I have never watched a super bowl never will. Don’t get the appeal. Never will. So these numbers do suprise me.
Since it’s coded ad P and not PS, I’m assuming that Sunday’S UB counts to season avg. If so, it makes it #1 series of season. lol.
Dean, pretty sure Nielsen will correct. For now, it is indeed currently listed at number 1 in both the 18-49 and P2+ on the Nielsen Season-to-date results!
How about NBC having only one show in the top 25? Kind of
ironic that show was The Biggest Loser! NBC is nothing without
the NFL.
Wow, look at that drop from 19 to 22.
Its not like it seems, at 8, ABC aired a “recap” of lost, while at 9 and 10, the premire aired, thats why lost only recieved 9mil viewers at 8, and btw9 mil, for a drama recap, is very good, recaps usually get 3 mil
Come February 12th, sports bails out NBC primetime AGAIN… The peacock network cannot depend on that. The TV rights for the 2014 and 2016 games will be fiercely fought for by not just NBC, but ESPN/ABC and Fox. It appears CBS is not too interested in the games.
No guarantees for the NFL contract as the past few has seen major changes on network rights.
Thus NBC, you cannot bank on just sports alone.
NBC is so screwed it’s not even funny.
Seidman: Unless I’m missing something, Season to Date (I won’t use acronym) ranking for series is a listing you’ve never posted on site. Is that something that Nielsen won’t let you post? I know, us number junkies can’t get enough! LOL
Only one NBC show is in the top 25 you are SCREWED I’d still watch
No, I mean the overall gap in viewers between #19 and #22. What’s happening to all of the mid-ranked shows?
CBS is solid but they need to be careful there shows are starting to age.
@Tks: Why does this suprise you? I don’t watch football either, but, football here is like soccer in England.
Undercover Boss tonight is against pairs figure skating and the NBA All-Star Game from Cowboys Stadium.
Well, how ’bout them “Bones” ? Good for them. It’s a very good show.
