Compared to all broadcast and cable television late-night competition Monday-Friday from 11:30 p.m. – 12:30 a.m., Adult Swim scored a clean sweep, ranking #1 for delivery of adults 18-34, adults 18-24, men 18-34 and men 18-24. And across the first week of February ’10, Adult Swim also ranked #1 in total day delivery of adults 18-34, adults 18-24, men 18-34 and men 18-24.
Adult Swim telecasts—includingand —accounted for 17 of the Top 50 telecasts of the week on ad-supported basic cable among adults 18-34.
TNT ranked as ad-supported cable’s #1 network for the week among adults 25-54 (668,000) in total day.
Wednesday night’s episode of Leverage was watched by 2.9 million viewers and scored 8% growth over the previous week’s episode in delivery of adults 18-49. The show is also delivering 90% growth among viewers for its time period when compared to the four weeks prior to its winter premiere.
With Live + 7 deliveries now in for Leverage’s second winter episode (Jan. 20), the show garnered an extraordinary 66% growth among viewers, 63% growth among adults 18-49 and 64% growth among adults 25-54 when compared to Live viewing.
Leverage’s first two winter 2010 episodes averaged more than 4.6 million viewers, 2.1 million adults 18-49 and 2.3 million adults 25-54 in Live + 7.
TBS scored big last week, ranking as ad-supported cable’s #1 network in primetime delivery of adults 18-34 (560,000).
TBS’s success was driven in part by Theon Tuesday night, which landed ad-supported cable’s Top 5 primetime sitcom telecasts for the week among adults 18-34.
truTV continued its streak by once again ranking among ad-supported cable’s Top 10 networks in delivery of adults 18-49 (545,00) in primetime. Last week marks the sixth consecutive week truTV has achieved that mark. The network also snared a Top 10 finish for the week in primetime delivery of men 18-49 (301,000).
truTV enjoyed considerable primetime growth when compared to the same week last year, with adults 18-34 up 20%, adults 18-49 up 17%, men 18-34 up 33%, men 18-49 up 19% and total viewers up 15%.
truTV’s week was fueled by such hit original series as Bait Car (Monday, Feb. 1, 8:30 p.m.) and(Monday, Feb. 1, 10:30 p.m.), which ranked among cable’s Top 5 entertainment programs in their timeslots among men 18-34 and men 18-49. In addition, The Smoking Gun Presents: World’s Dumbest… (Thursday, Feb. 4, 9 p.m.) ranked among cable’s Top 5 entertainment programs in its time period among adults 18-49.
Cartoon Network presented a new episode of its action-adventure series Batman: The Brave & (7:30 p.m.), which scored strong double-digit gains among kids and boys 2-11. Kids 2-11 delivery (1,096,000) and ratings (2.7) both increased by 29%, while boys 2-11 delivery (835,000) increased by 27% and ratings (4.0) by 25%.
The network’s Thursday night presentation of animated comedies Chowder (8:30 p.m.) and Johnny Test (8 p.m.) also earned solid double-digit gains across kids and boys demos. Compared to the same time period last year, Chowder earned 58% growth among kids 6-11 delivery (690,000), 46% growth among kids 2-11 delivery (945,000) and 40% growth among kids 9-14 delivery (448,000). Johnny Test earned 75% gains among kids 6-11 delivery (930,000), 73% gains among kids 2-11 delivery (1,346,000) and 42% gains among kids 9-14 delivery (587,000).
