White Collar Rebounds!

White Collar rebounded solidly last night at 10pm with 3.827 million viewers and a 1.3 A18-49 rating (1.685 million adults 18-49).  That compares with last week when it dropped to 2.89 million and a .9 adults 18-49 rating against the Lost premiere.   We were sure USA hoped last week was merely a blip due to Lost, and it looks like it was.

Fantastic! Too bad that next week there’s no new ep. The upswing might have continued… But this is great. Demo on par with the second Tuesday ep!

  2. Now lets hope Psych rebounds tonight as well, though I dont know why it dropped anyways.

  3. Jack

Good to see. I enjoy this show.

  4. MNIS

Hopefully Psych will follow suit and get up to 1.3 as well. :D

Mr. Bomer & company save the day! Move the dog show – unreal to break momentum of WC…

  6. I thought as a PTI-aholic you might credit Wilbon’s shoutout for White Collar at the end of yesterday’s show?! ;)

  7. Christopher

    yay

  8. Spotupj: I saw it and I almost included it in what I posted this morning. I’ll have to start tracking whether Wilbon shoutout is blessing or curse. He’s raved about Without a Trace, Damages and yes, Dirty Sexy Money in the past. But his White Collar shout out seemed very heartfelt!

And to think White Collar has gone to the dogs next week…. *sigh* Glad to see those numbers back up!!

Wow, cool. I really thought Tuesday might not be a good night for it but I’m totally happy to be wrong. Let’s see what happens with Psych.

    Yessssss!

    @ nick-

Probably had something to do with the terribly boring John Cena episode they premiered with. I’m not surprised people didn’t tune in the following week after that.

  13. Dan K

Craig, you also could argue that Psych’s ratings in its premiere were due to John Cena. Wrestling is always amongst the top cable shows in ratings and I’m pretty sure he’s one of the most popular wrestlers out there right now. Another explanation could be that fans of Psych who used to watch it live Friday didn’t watch their regular Tuesday show to see the premiere (or they simply don’t normally watch TV at 10 on Tuesday but did so for the premiere). However for the rest of the Tuesday episodes they’ll be watching their normal Tuesday shows and will be DVRing Psych or watching it online.

Anyway whatever the reason for the drop, like others have said hopefully it rebounds tonight.

A super fun episode of White Collar, it’s really finding a nice rhythm. Good to hear the ratings are solid.

Good to see white collar bounce back with solid ratings and @Craig id say psych rating was down to john cena

  16. why don’t you post full cable numbers anymore? I can’t imagine it’s for lack of interest.

  17. Tiffany

Glad to hear it! I hope Psych pulls back up, too.

I was glad to hear that White Collar ratings went up. I watch the show every week and could not live without it on Tuesdays, I dont know about any of you but I find since they moved it to Tuesday, Tuesday seems to come around faster than waiting for Friday. As far as Psych last weeks episode was not with John Cena, it was about Gus;s girlfriend and a murder of a dare deviler who was killed by a member of the group.

tell you truth, I like “White collar” a lot — but if my VCR hadn’t remembered where I put it, I would have kept missing it. What? TUESDAY? I can’t remember that. There’s too much on TV. Luckily, sometimes it’s just there, on tape and I happily watch it. It’s been very good so far this “season.”

I just don’t get “Psych.” I love Dule Hill (from “West Wing”) but the lead guy–sheesh — he makes me run screaming for my remote. 30 seconds of him is enough to put me off for the rest of the year, despite Timothy what’s-his-name from “Judging Amy” who always upstages everyone in any scene he’s in. I think there’s definitely a ceiling of viewership there that “Psych” will never break through. That lead guy is just too annoying to many people.
