Univision #2 Broadcast Network in Overall Primetime on Friday Night

Among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens 12-17

NPM Broadcast Prime Highlights Week of 02/08/10

•       Friday night, Univision was the 2nd most-watched broadcast network in overall primetime, behind NBC’s coverage of the opening ceremony of the “2010 Winter Olympics”, among Total Viewers 2+ (3.8 million), Adults 18-49 (2.0 million), Adults 18-34 (1.1 million) and Teens 12-17 (289,000).

•       Univision had 2 of the Top 3 programs on Friday night among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens 12-17 with #2 “Sortilegio” (Love Spell) and #3 ”Hasta Que El Dinero Nos Separe” (For Love or Money).  Additionally, on Friday night “Sortilegio” (Love Spell) was the #2 program among Total Viewers 2+.

•       Univision finished the week as the #3 broadcast network in overall primetime among Kids 2-11(460,000), beating ABC, CBS and CW.  Additionally, Univision the 5th most-watched network in primetime last week among Total Viewers 2+ (3.6 million), Adults 18-49 (1.8 million), Adults 18-34 (1.0 million) and Teens 12-17 (240,000), beating CW.

•       Last week, Univision out-delivered ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX 5 out of 7 nights among Adults 18-34, on 4 out of 7 nights among Adults 18-49, on 2 out of 7 nights among Total Viewers 2+ and on 6 out of 7 nights among Teens 12-17.

•       “Hasta Que El Dinero Nos Separe” (For Love or Money) made Univision the #4 ranked network in the M-F/8-9pm hour among Adults 18-34 (1.2 million) and Teens 12-17 (269,000), beating ABC and CW.  Last week, the novela delivered more than twice the Total Viewers 2+, Adult 18-49 and Adult 18-34 audience in head-to-head competition with Telemundo’s finale week of “Mas Sabe El Diablo” in the 8pm hour.

•       On a nightly basis, “Sortilegio” (Love Spell) continues to be one of the Top 15 programs of the night among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 and helped Univision rank #5 for the week in the M-F/8-9pm hour in these demos as well.

•       In its third week, “Mujeres Asesinas 2” (Killer Women 2) delivered 3.9 million Total Viewers 2+, 2.2 million Adults 18-49 and 1.3 million Adults 18-34.  The program out-delivered the entire Thursday night primetime line-up of FOX and CW, ABC’s “The Deep End” and NBC’s special presentation of “The Office among Adults 18-34.

•       “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) made Univision the #4 ranked network on Saturday night among Adults 18-49 (977,000), Adults 18-34 (529,000), Total Viewers 2+ (2.4 million) and ranked #3 among Teens 12-17 (110,000) and Kids 2-11 (254,000).

•       Univision’s Sunday premiere of “Imagenes De Impacto” delivered an average of 2.1 million Total Viewers 2+, 716,000 Persons 12-34, 603,000 Adults 18-34, 1.1 million Adults 18-49, 620,000 Men 18-49 and 482,000 Women 18-49.  The program significantly increased its current season Sunday 10pm to 11pm time period Men audience levels by +32% among Men 18-34 (346,000 vs. 263,000) and by +23% among Men 18-49 (620,000 vs. 506,000).
