MIAMI, FL, FEBRUARY 18, 2010 – The Univision Network announced today that last night’s grand finale of its 9pm novela “Sortilegio” (Love Spell) helped position the broadcaster as the #3 network for the night, beating ABC, CBS and the CW among Adults 18-49 and Men 18-49, Adults 18-34, Persons 12-34, and Men and Women 18-34. Univision took the #4 network spot for the night among Total Viewers 2+ and Women 18-49. The hit novela’s final episode averaged impressive audience levels with 6.6 million Total Viewers 2+, 3.7 million Adults 18-49, 2.1 million Adults 18-34 and 2.6 million Persons 12-34.

Additional Network Highlights:

  • In the 9:00pm-10:00pm hour Univision was the #3 network among Adults, Men, Women 18-34 and 18-49, Teens 12-17 and Persons 12-34, beating ABC, CBS and CW. Among Total Viewers 2+, the network ranked #4, beating ABC and CW.
  • Based on its full run, “Sortilegio” currently ranks as the #5 most-watched primetime novela of all-time on the Univision Network among Total Viewers 2+ (4,920,000).
  • Airing head-to-head against Telemundo’s 9pm novela, “Perro Amor,”  Sortilegio’s one-hour finale attracted nearly eight to ten times more audience among Total Viewers 2+ (6,592,000 vs. 674,000), Adults 18-49 (3,682,000 vs. 398,000), Adults 18-34 (2,066,000 vs. 272,000), and Persons 12-34 (2,608,000 vs. 326,000).
