who did Larry King have on? I guess no one saw it so…

  2. cas127

Given its winning ways, Fox News is probably risk averse – but look at what Beck would do to FN’s primetime average if he were swapped with Greta.

This is practically a slam dunk if prime time ratings points go for more $ than full-day ones do…

Hell, you could probably leave Greta out of the equation entirely – Run Beck first at 5 (to preserve lead-in for the whole line up) and simply *repeat* him at 10PM.

Beck is a ratings superstar in a way that has rarely been seen in cable news.

OR and Hannity owe their current elevation to decisions (and contracts) made ten and fifteen years ago – when FN entered a previously vastly underserved market (the 50%+ of Americans who are conservative).

Neither is particularly spectacular intellectually or media-wise.

    They just haven’t fumbled.

Any of Stoessel, Will, or Beck would leave them in the dust (Brit Hume is probably still kicking himself for picking the wrong hour when FN started up – he was too focused on the old media news hour).

Here’s to hoping that FN will at least try some trial experiments with Beck.

If they do so, they might knock CNN out of the game entirely (except as a sort of worldwide HLN newsgathering operation) and take a noticeable chunk out of CBS prime-time (which shares cable news’ older skewing demos).

Get some more of that Pharma money, FN!

Per the recent Nielsen PR, Pharma held up much much better than other advertising sectors…

its a sad day on cnn when your high point is ac360

  4. John

Larry King Live —383,000 viewers…He should of went out when he was on top.

I still can’t get over how good Curling Numbers have been on CNBC

FOX can’t be happy with On the Record w/ Greta—1,753,000 viewers
I still believe that before the end of the year Sarah Palin will replace Greta at 10pm

  5. romo

Wasnt cnbc yesterday the ruskies/canada hockey game ?

  6. shoey

what’s going on with Hannity? he’s got the second sweetest spot in the FNC lineup and he can’t beat Beck who has what used to be the worst?

i can speak for myself on this; I view Hannity as a GOP hack and have tuned him out, I like that Beck blasts the GOP now and again.

  7. betty

…..MessyNBC is Apoplectic, and then some…Chis “Spittle” Mathews
is Stuck at 05. and Going Nowhere…Overnight,Glenn Beck went to 29.
OlberMan is stuck at 09. and Going Nowhere but Further Down.,Rakel goes from 06. to 09. Bill O’Reilly soars at 35. to 40., Hannity does
Fabulous at 21.Plus…..and Life goes on.

  8. kelc

I don’t know if you would want to take Beck out of the 5 o’clock spot. He’s a great lead into the rest of the night where Fox dominants. But boy the viewers he gets at 5 is unbelievable,i have to admit i would like to see how he would do at 9 or 10.Headline news must still be kicking themselves for letting him get away.

  9. lkl

Larry King is on lifesupport with those ratings. Greta continues to stay below 2 million.

  10. Kappy1

    I’ll repeat what I said yesterday ———

Glenn Beck’s show is on at 2:00pm on the west coast (everybody is at work)… His rerun isn’t on until 11:00pm (everybody is in bed). If they would move Beck’s show to a later time, his numbers would skyrocket … Because right now, most people on the west coast doesn’t get to see him!!! … AT ALL!!!

  11. Joan

cas127….I agree with most of what you say but Hannity has it all over the others as integrity goes. I wish Beck would stop a little short of confusing the voters as he constantly villafies the Reps, at times undeserved!

  12. Joan

    WOW! FORGIVE MY SPELLING!

  13. Joan

    kelc….they were rotten to him!

  14. Steve In Danville, KY

Notice that Special Report w/ Bret Baier – 2,050,000 viewers has been steady for months now? I figured they would go down after Bret Hume left the show, But it’s been very steady and a good show and the best talk panel on Cable News

  15. Gamble20

Moving Beck wouldn’t automatically mean higher ratings, but probably. Hannitys numbers are disappointing but he is still the second (or third it varies) highest rated show on cable news.

Hannity is valuable on election nights such as the MA election (6.8 million) because all the conservatives like to tune in to his show and don’t really wanna hear much “I’m playing it fair for the folks” o’reilly or “they’re all evil” beck.

  16. Steve In Danville, KY

All you who downgrade Beck for getting on Both parties never say where he is wrong. Could it be that BOTH parties do stink and care more about looking good on camera?

Look, bottom line is his message is we should FOR OURSELVES propser, and not rely on Government to do things for us. I don’t want any rich persons money, I don’t want the government to do anything except STAY out of my life, they regulate Cigs, Gas, Air, Now Sugar, Fats, they tell us what and where to eat, smoke, drink, tell us we can’t eat a doughnut, drink coffee, and up north they even have sugar and caffine taxes now and it’s on the way everywhere, Beck has a right to be angry and so do all of us, Vote ALL the incumbant bums OUT NOW!!!

I for one support Becks shows and hope he even gets more angry. bI hope his ratings soar even higher.

  17. avery

I feel sorry for On the Record w/Greta.All she has to talk about is Re-hash what been talk about all day.Glen Beck, has what he want to talk about.I never miss Beck i watch him when he was on CNN.

  18. Wayne

CNBC is a business network and as such should not I think be lumped with news networks such as CNN. If it is going to stay then how about including Fox Business in the group. It looks like Fox is being snubbed like the President. Is that the way it is?

  19. Wayne, we publish all the daily cable news numbers we get. We get CNBC numbers, we don’t get FBC numbers. (nobody, at this point that I know of publicly, has FBC numbers)

If you don’t like the CNBC numbers in the list, just skip right over them! ;)

  20. Boris

    Steve In Danville, KY says:

“up north they even have sugar and caff[e]ine taxes now”

    Really, where?
