Earlier this week I did a post questioning the role the fan's Subway sub campaign played in saving Chuck.
One offshoot in the comments was that Chuck writer/producer Ali Adler had tweeted that the 18th episode of Chuck was titled "Chuck vs. the Subway." Some wondered if that was a joke and my guess was that it wasn't.
And it isn't.
However, sources tell me, and here's the spoiler, it doesn't have anything to do with Subway sandwiches. It's a reference to an actual subway.

Even if it’s about an actual Subway, I’ll be thinking of the subs every time I see that title. At least until it airs.
I doubt the Subway campaign had any direct effect on Chuck’s renewal. But it’s good PR and the people at Subway must love it. It can’t hurt.
Penultimate episode of the season + a real subway train = EXCITING
Hm… Field trip to New York?
