I quit house two years ago. I have always watched Chuck but I used to DVR House and now I cannot even stand the show. On top of that Chuck is fun and has Yvonne Strahovski. Enough said.

Does House have Drama, Romance, Action and Comedy and nerd references. Plus gasp there is actually character progression on Chuck. Do yourself a favory watch Chuck this week just this once. I guarantee you will never go back. Also most of the major cristics have said this is the best episode of the series and that is saying alot.

Part of the reason Life Unexpected's ratings were lower is that in Chicago, the bulls game was televised instead. I'll be watching it on Wednesday, and I suspect Wednesday's numbers will be higher.

Charlie Sheen can do no wrong when it comes to numbers and ratings. CBS will be praying that he walks out of rehab and right back onto the set! I know TAAHM got renewed last year for 3 seasons but I think he might walk when HIS contract is up end of this one. CBS want at least 9 seasons - I see Charlie saying bye-bye after 7.

Why were the ratings up for 'The Bachelor'? It's the matchmaker in all of us. Jake is such a nice young man...always trying to do the right thing, hard working, pleasant, kind and well-mannered. It was only natural that America had a vested interest in seeing this guy find a nice girl and settle down. Ratings soared when our nice young man became the victim of a Jezebel who lured him whilst setting her eyes on another conquest. Out came our claws... Whew! Gone! Now we can get down to finding a nice girl for...WAIT! Another tawdry female is now working her whiles on our fine young bachelor, risking his chance at true happiness with a young woman of virtue...Alas, our bachelor has fallen victim to the allure of another temptress, and all our matchmaking was for naught.
Perhaps our Jake is a bachelor because he habitually fails to make good choices in the romance department. Seems he enjoys being a bachelor after all, because the odds of these two making it down the isle are curious at best.

Now we can get down to finding a nice girl for…WAIT! Another tawdry female is now working her whiles on our fine young bachelor, risking his chance at true happiness with a young woman of virtue…Alas, our bachelor has fallen victim to the allure of another temptress, and all our matchmaking was for naught.
Perhaps our Jake is a bachelor because he habitually fails to make good choices in the romance department. Seems he enjoys being a bachelor after all, because the odds of these two making it down the isle are curious at best.

Oddly enough, Chuck has started to hook me more than I thought. Prior to last night's episode, I saw a Chuck episode called Chuck vs. First Class. I found it to be funny, and entertaining (having Steve Austin, Kristin Kreuk, and Brandon Routh seemed like icing on the cake). Last night's episode somehow magnified it a little more for me. Thanks for the advice.

@Wendy

Thanks for the link. I checked it out, and now I'm really curious to see how everything pans out by season's end.

I don't know where you're getting that 30 Rock averages over a 3.5, but you're not right. In fact, without The Office as a lead-in it dropped below Chuck's numbers. The last time an original episode aired it got a 2.9 and that was with a tick up.

Jarvis...you may also want to check out what's coming up for the rest of the season on Chuck here: http://bit.ly/cTrJpk

Reviews are great but I'm a fan of the visual aide. Glad you enjoyed this weeks episode and hope you watch again...if nothing else, thanks for checking it out.

Aside from Chuck's numbers, I'm really happy to see HIMYM doing so well...especially since last night's episode hit on the hotness of pharma sales reps (a fact of both genders), the cuteness of teacup pigs, & how horrible it is to 'hook' someone & let them dangle.

Yeah Jarvis, if you want to see Chuck at its best then the next three episodes apparently give it to you. All of the critics who have seen the screeners have been effusive in their praise. Plus, Chuck needs all the eyeballs it can get. House doesn't. Whenever I'm in a quandary like that, I go with the show that needs the support. Just a thought. I hope the show hooks you like it did me.

"If it helps in your decision-making, TV critics who have seen screeners (Maureen Ryan, Sepinwall, Televisionary, etc.) call it one of the best episodes of the series and it is star Zachary Levi’s directorial debut."

Diane,

Thanks. I'll definitely keep that in mind. If anything, it will make me lean towards watching Chuck again next week.

Sad for Life Unexpected's numbers, I hope they could still rebound :(

HIMYM and TBBT did well. Almost 4.0 for HIMYM, yay! I hope TBBT will be back to 6.0 next week. CBS should ask 2.5 Men to find a way to produce new episodes even without Charlie, the ratings are really good that it would be waste if they go on repeats way early.

To me, RoE did fine but not spectacular, yeah it was up slightly from AoP but it still dropped quite a lot from HIMYM. It needs to build from HIMYM to be a lock for renewal.

After The Final Rose was huge. 5.4 at 10pm? WOW!

Well back to normal for NBC.

@David,

1. Older viewers may not help ad rates, but they don't hurt them either, so no, having fewer viewers with the same demo doesn't help Heroes any.

2. There is next to no chance Heroes could get back up to a 2.5.

Well last night NBC replaced Heroes' timeslot with Law and Order. It recieved 7.58 million viewers with a 1.9/5 ratings share in adults 18-49.

Prepared to Heroes(season finale) which garnered 4.41 million viewers with a 2.0/5 ratings share.

I doubt this will have anything to do with the networks decision to bring the show back..but if Heroes can have 3+ million live viewers less than a new Law and Order on it's 9pm timeslot and gather a better 18-49 share...isn't that a good thing?

The show could get back up to 5.5 million viewers it'd probably close to a 2.4 if not a 2.5 which is usually seen as a safe renewal on NBC's terms. I mean whether or not you want the show to be renewed would you agree with what I'm saying?

"I hope L&O beats out the Simpsons and somehow makes it to 25 seasons, that would surely be a blessing for that series."

The Simpsons will be on well past 25 seasons. Law & Order will never catch it, especially when you consider the fact that Law & Order now gets lousy ratings and The Simpsons is still doing good to great numbers.

At least the 10:00 episode did better than the 9:00. Still a weak showing. It will be back to Friday nights next season and done after that.

Law & Order is getting better again. If they could spice things up a bit like they 12th/14th seasons of the series it'd be okay in the ratings!

I hope L&O beats out the Simpsons and somehow makes it to 25 seasons, that would surely be a blessing for that series.
