New York, NY -- March 4, 2010 -- Coming off its most successful year ever, Ghost Hunters summoned 2.4 million total viewers, 1.44 million Adults 25-54, 1.35 million Adults 18-49 along with a 1.7 household rating during its live season six premiere on Wednesday, March 3, from 9-11PM.
Ghost Hunters ranked #1 in the 9-10PM time period among Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54 and #2 from 10pm-11pm in the same demographics. Ghost Hunters also continues to be a hit with female viewers -- Syfy was #2 in 8-11pm prime for both Female 18-49 and Female 25-54 viewers.

Ghost Hunters celebrated the sixth season launch with their 100th episode before a live audience from the legendary Studio 8H in Rockefeller Center, where they presented their first-ever investigation at Alcatraz as well as a look back at the most shocking and spine-chilling moments the hit series has caught on tape over the past five seasons.
Josh Gates (Destination Truth) hosted the event, which featured investigators from all three Ghost Hunters teams gathered together for the very first time: Jason Hawes, Grant Wilson, Steve Gonsalves, Dave Tango, Amy Bruni, Kris Williams (Ghost Hunters), Barry FitzGerald, Robb Demarest, Dustin Pari (Ghost Hunters International), Susan Slaughter and Karl Pfeiffer (Ghost Hunters Academy).
New episodes of Ghost Hunters International and Ghost Hunters Academy will premiere this summer. Ghost Hunters, Ghost Hunters International, Scare Tactics, are the worst shows on the syfy channel,, I can’t believe anyone would watch this junk… And as long as people watch these shows then syfy will not produce any good scifi programs when they can put junk on tv…

Get over it! Ghost Hunters is a great show and I’m happy for them. It’s very entertaining and I love it. I hope it’s on for another 200 episodes!!

I still watch GHI and GH, but I am a bigger fan of Ghost Adventures. The guys are a bit annoying On Ghost Adventures, but their evidence “if you believe” is pretty significant. Long live Taps though!

Ghost hunters is crap. There is nothing real about it. It is built on the same script as the Blair Witch Project. Crap taking advantage of stupid people. It is so fake I am insulted that it is on the syfy channel. Lose this piece of junk. If you believe that anyone watches this crap I challange you to find them. I have asked every person I know between the ages of 18-60 and cannot find even one fan. 2.4 million viewers. Please this is a lie. The original Star Trek would get more viewers than this crap.
