Jay Leno's ratings are starting to settle in and last night's The Tonight Show led Letterman with 3.8/10 household rating share in the overnights vs. The Late Show's 3.3/9, so the household rating gap is narrowing.
In the 25 local markets with local People Meters, Leno maintained a wide margin, with a 1.6 in adults 18-49 vs. a 0.9 for Letterman. We should see the "fast national" numbers measuring a wider section than those 25 markets later today.
Update: Not much of a drop in the Fast National ratings though notably Letterman went up by two ticks vs. the local People Meters in adults 18-49, while Leno went down a tick.
