Roger Friedman of The Hollywood Reporter reports that ABC's Brothers & Sisters has been renewed for a fifth season:
I’m told ABC has renewed “Brothers & Sisters” for a fifth season. The Sally Field soap opera has had, I think, five show runners in four seasons.
No one paying attention to our Renew / Cancel Index could possibly be surprised by this, the only ABC shows with futures seriously in doubt at this point are FlashForward and V.

This is no shocker. Greys, Private Practice, and Desperate Housewives will also definitlely get renewed. Castle has a great chance. Then theres just V and Flash Forward.

Brothers & Sisters would die quickly without its Sunday 10pm timeslot, unless it comes on after Grey’s on Thursdays.
Fifth and final? I’m thinking it should be unless they come up with a strong ending to the season and a good plan for the next two. At this point, they are running out of ideas and I watch more out of habit and lack of competition than me loving it.
