Home to TV’s No. 1 telecast with Sunday’s all new “Hannah Montana” and 4 of TV’s Top 6 scripted telecasts overall, Disney Channel was the week’s No. 1 TV network in Total Day in Tweens 9-14 (447,000/1.8 rating) for the 4th week running.

Disney Channel’s dominance of cable Prime is fast approaching the 5 year mark, delivering its 257th consecutive week at No. 1 in Kids 6-11 (953,000/3.9 rating) and 253rd straight week in Tweens 9-14 (777,000/3.2 rating). In Total Viewers (2.3 million), Disney Channel stood as cable’s No. 2 network in Prime for the 3rd consecutive week.

  • Posting the net’s best numbers in the time period ever, Sunday’s part one of “Hannah Montana’s” 2-part Season 3 finale (7:30 – 8:00 p.m.) was the week’s No. 1 TV telecast in Tweens 9-14 (2.2 million/9.1 rating) and cable’s No. 1 telecast in Total Viewers (6.3 million). In Kids 6-11, it was TV’s No. 2 telecast (2.3 million/9.5 rating).
  • Sunday’s airing was the show’s most-watched telecast since last summer’s 1-hour special (7/5/09), and ranked 5th among the show’s 83 original telecasts to date.
  • In Tweens 9-14, Sunday’s outing registered the net’s second-best ratings in the time slot on record, behind a “Hannah Montana” telecast on 10/18/09.
  • In Tweens 9-14, Disney Channel owned 4 of TV’s Top 6 scripted telecasts with “Hannah Montana(No. 1 - 2.2 million/9.1 rating, Sun., 7:30 – 8:00 p.m.), “StarStruck” (No. 4 - 1.4 million/5.8 rating, Sun., 8:00 – 9:30 p.m.), “The Suite Life on Deck (No. 5 - 1.3 million/5.3 rating, Fri., 8:00 – 8:35 p.m.) andHannah Montana (No. 6 - 1.2 million/5.1 rating, Sun., 7:00 – 7:25 p.m.).

  • In Kids 6-11, Disney Channel delivered 3 of TV’s Top 5 live-action telecasts with Hannah Montana” (No. 2 - 2.3 million/9.5 rating, Sun., 7:30 – 8:00 p.m.), “The Suite Life on Deck (No. 4 - 1.6 million/6.5 rating, Fri., 8:00 – 8:35 p.m.) and Hannah Montana (No. 5 - 1.4 million/5.9 rating, Sun., 7:00 – 7:25 p.m.).
  • Playhouse Disney’s “Mickey Mouse Clubhousestood among TV’s Top 10 programs in target preschoolers Kids 2-5 (No. 9 - 627,000/3.8 rating).

    Disney is not what it used to be its just a greedy corporation just like all the rest. I cannot believe they went from a free/fee based system to all of a sudden wanting to charge millions, I guess they are making up for those cheap tickets they are giving out this year

    Hannah Montana only did well cause of ow hyped up it was as Miley moving back to Tennesse. Even my little cousins were disappointed in seeing it. I wonder what the ratings will be like for the next season.
