I was going to save this for Friday night, but I don't feel like working this weekend. I'm sorry for disrupting the comments in real time but hopefully every thing should be back to normal soon as I sync up our comments database w/Disqus.
Assuming there are no issues that force me to pull it back off, the benefits will be:
1.) better editing of comments (indeed, ANY editing of comments)
2.) threaded comments (we might not leave that on, we'll see)
3.) easier spam management for us
4.) other cool stuff we'll write about in the future
I apologize for any inconvenience but you're freeing me up to watch college basketball all weekend. Thanks for your patience.

excellent
No probs. I already have an account. So I don't have to type in my info when I want to commet.
The ability to 'like' comments is lovely.
Editing!
Testing… testing…
I do hope that you disable the reply to comment option, that makes it harder to follow the flow of the conversation.
I like it.
On the contrary, I think the ability to reply is invaluable. Leave it in for at least a day or 2 to see how it's going.
I'm with Tommy on that one. Liking the changes so far.
aww so no more awesome little pictures?
Cool, I like it. Great idea!
you can sign up for disqus and add your own picture, but no random monster avatars on Disqus that I know of.
enter a new comment box before the comments, or at the bottom of them like before?
You are able to add your picture once you register.
The thing with the reply to comment is that the reply's can get lost in the mix of a busy post.
i don't have threading turned on right now
Like my comment. LIKE IT!
but the “reply” button is there anyway.
Is it possible to make the header of the comment a little bit darker?
Robert, for consistency reasons I would say at the bottom of the tread.
