Ratings Detective #2: Can You Name The Show From The Ratings Alone?

How much of a TV ratings detective are you? Think you can name a show looking only at its ratings trend?

Here's the 2009-2010 adults 18-49 ratings trend for a broadcast primetime scripted show (its new episodes only, repeats have been removed, and the episode ratings are shown in order without any date gaps). I'm guessing this TV detective mystery will be a bit more difficult than the first, but who knows.

Guesses?

I will return later today to confirm the correct answer assuming someone has gotten it, but because of my schedule there may be quite a lag between a correct guess and my confirmation.

If no one guesses correctly, I will return with hints, but that will require me to think up a hint that isn't an immediate give away.

Done! Guessed by Bryan faster than I could create the chart! It's CBS' Accidentally On Purpose.

I was going to say CASTLE but I think it dipped more and did not go that high.

    BONES.

  2. Jehu

    The Good Wife?

  7. Well, since The Good Wife & Bones are already taken, I’ll throw something else out there:

    Glee

Never dips below 2.8 means its not a spinoff that needs the mothership, never going above 3.5 means its not a 9pm show.

Guessing a hourlong crime procedural, either Bones or CSI:NY. Or Accidentally on Purpose – I believe it’s floated in the mid 3s, usually .5 to .6 behind HIMYM.

    But I will vote NY.

My first guess is CSI: NY, but I think it got a better bump from crossover week.

Second guess is Accidentally on Purpose.

Second guess is Accidentally on Purpose.

  13. Rob

    My guess is Fringe

  14. It was Accidentally On Purpose!

This was way too easy, so much for the Ratings Detective concept. Guessed faster than I could make the chart!

I’ll go with CSI: NY as well, my first thought was NCIS: LA but I don’t think it dropped like that the 3rd week
