My head is spinning from all that spinning. The show is essentially a 7 year flop, but they benefit from never having had good ratings, so all this 1.6, 1.9 crud seems like progress. It's been 7 years folks. Kimmel Live isn't getting better, it's just staying the same.

I don't know, maybe that's OK in today's mediocre world?

  2. JKL has always been pretty much on par with Late Nite and the Late Late Show ratings. Late night is just not as big these days. He does have some hit YouTube videos and has generated some major buzz with a couple of skits.

Also, JKL has a lot working against it. 1) An odd time slot with unrelated lead-in. 2) Many markets' (like Chicago) affiliates run 30 minutes to an 1 hour of syndicated shows.

Good for you JK. I think his show is a fresh approach to stale late night TV. Still laughing about the Leno bit.
