Archer's ratings are quickly moving out of the DANGER ZONE!

Quasi-unfounded theory: Demetri Martin and Sarah Silverman's ratings are so awful because Comedy Central NEVER re-runs them. If you want to see Daniel Tosh's smug face and stupid videos, you can see them whenever you want. But when Comedy Central runs an old stand-up special after The Colbert Report instead of rerunning their shows on Thursday night…it just doesn't seem equitable. Then again, they might not be re-running them because the ratings are so low as is. Chicken, meet egg.

Maybe Archer's up because it wasn't airing against a new episode of another more popular spy show.

It was a fantastic episode and I'm glad so many people saw it.

    that's pretty remarkable

I wonder if Archer is what is hurting Important Things with Demitiri Martin's ratings. Considering that both shows air at the same time and feature H. Jon Benjamin, I'm wondering if it's split the audience at all. I myself watched last year, but since Archer airs at the same time, (which I find the better of the two shows) I'll watch Archer instead.

And we all thought it was doomed. :O

  6. Good to hear about Archer and the Real Housewives… franchise!

This show is soooo good. Good to see it's gaining an audience and it's increasing.

Does Logo now own the reairing rights? The show is playing, almost simultaneously on CC and Logo, so maybe the lack of reairings on CC has something to do with the Logo deal. I'm not sure though.

  10. I doubt there's any deal. MTV Networks shares programming among its channels. For example, “Married with Children” bounced around from SpikeTV to TV Land to Comedy Central.

Do they have the Demitri and Sarah rights? If so, that makes sense for
both – it's a shame, because Archer and Demitri come on simultaneously
and Archer trumps Demitri for me, but then Demitri never re-airs.

JUST started watching archer from the beggining on the DVR, and I really like it… Gald to see ratings up, and a 2nd season already picked up

  13. Bruce

I did assume that it was doomed but I'm glad its fortunes have changed for the better. It's a really fun show.

Adult Swim missed out. They could use a show like this.

  16. Edit: I don't know what I'm talking about or why.
