Somebody mentioned that ABC may not renew Jimmy Kimmel contract, lord let it be true. Think ABC is a little ticked at him for dressing up like Jay Leno, even the haters thought that was hitting below the belt.

'This is the town where the clowns put it down,'
    Where is team Coconut?

I never noticed that Jimmy got such low ratings. I wonder if ABC will stick with him. Maybe they should expand Nightline to one hour and have Jimmy start at 12:35 AM since he is getting approximately the same numbers as the other 12:35 talk shows.

I am a former employee of Jimmy Kimmel Live who resigned several months ago. I was a segment producer. I now live overseas, so I don't really care who sees this post. He is the worst person I've ever worked for. He is the least appreciative person I've ever worked for. He's the least talented writer at that writer's table and everyone knows it. He's a comedy killer. Even in rehearsals, he was incapable of creating his own humor off the cuff. He is addicted to his teleprompter and it's always been a running joke among the staff. Even his quips with guests are written. He's the worst kind of bully, putting down quiet, nice people and destroying morale for his own pleasure. He's a cheater in his personal life, leaving Sarah Silverman for a girl he then promoted to the head writer of the show over many, many more qualified candidates.

His face still gives me nightmares. We were all nervous wrecks around him and the big secret is that everyone who stays at that job, is only there for the money. True about a lot of jobs, but the most true in my lifetime about that particular one. If you don't consistently kiss his butt, he makes your life miserable How he's been allowed to stay on television this long is one of the great mysteries of the universe. IMO he's the most replaceable no-talent there's ever been and his ratings have proved that since day one.

I hope he gets canceled. He seems like the type of person you can't really trust at all even on screen so I guess hearing what you say behind the scenes isn't too surprising.

Well I'm glad Craig Ferguson's winning some of these total viewer numbers. He's the best one out there and people need to realize this and stop watching Leno.

  7. IceBeam

He also needs to step away from the camera and stop pushing his face into the lens!

IceBeam, I'm uncertain whether you mean Kimmel or Ferguson. If Kimmel, then I agree. Keep Jimmy's slack jaw as far away for the camera as possible.

If Ferguson, then I disagree. There are a lot of us who live for the closeup of Craig's sparkling eyes and generous lips in that craggy, gorgeous face. We also like a full body shot in which his pants twist and ride up a bit. Whew, wait–I got distracted. What I mean to say is it's okay Craig gets so close to the camera because he's the best comedian in late night. By far.
